I'll be around for the GT500 series. Here's to hoping a worse driver will come along....:)

Boshuter, if you have an additional GT500 car to spare, I'd be grateful. PSN is 'relsek' :awe:

No problem, any particular car you want?

I won't be able to send it until tomorrow (Saturday) evening, I used my send for today. If you are on psn tonight, look for a friend request from supersnake75, I'll get him to send you the car if he hasn't used his slot for today.

Does anyone else feel that I have no clue how to handle this series? Or is everyone else as glad as I am that we don't have to listen to more if his whining and bitching when things don't go his way? I have a feeling he is an only child.

nope i felt the race was exactly what i signed up for. A semi competitive racing serious done for fun. Theres no real reward or presitge for winning. Rather its just a place to come once a week to get a good race in with 90% clean racing. obviously some incidients did happen but thats almost to be expected when you have people like me who suck at racing and are just there for fun :)

Adding a page of rules just makes me not want to race. i enjoy being able to more or less hope in with no real practice all week and being able to spend a lap or two racing against someone then spend the next 15 laps trying to catch up :)

As for the gt500 cars, well the one bos sent me, actually found it fairly easy to handle so maybe ill not be in the back this time :)

Hehe I think I'm about 1/2 second slower with the Arta NSX than with the Calsonic GTR. That could be due to the power difference. I really like the balance of the NSX...it's just a bit more twitchy which is harder to control using a DS3. I think I'm gonna give the NSX a go this Sunday and see how I hold up. Now nobody tap me in the rear, cause there's no hope of me catching a spin like that with my DS3 lol. :D

I'm still jumping back and forth between the Epson NSX and one of the GTR's. I'm slightly faster with the NSX, but the handling of the GTR more than makes up for it.

This track is also very slippery compared to most of the other tracks, or at least it seems that way to me. It's a fun track to run, but not a favorite of mine. :|

I hope you guys are planning on running tonight at Cape Ring, we will only run 10 laps. This will give everyone a chance to get used to running the new cars in traffic.

I'll get the new GT500 thread up in the next few days. If any of you know anyone who may be interested in participating, invite them to join, I'd really like to see us have at least 10-12 cars in the races. :)

If velilen hasn't opened a room by 7pm CST, I'll go ahead and open one shortly after. Hope to see you on Cape Ring

Sorry to leave in the like second lap. had to help bring in lugage :(

Nasty bumping in that first section. Think Thilian was the only one unaffected. pretty much everyone either had to hit the brakes or was hit.

Did my typical do well in practice, get to the actual race and screw it all up :)

I do like that course though. nice combination of high speed driving with some technical driving as well.

Uggh I hate that track lol. :)

Good job Ride. I thought I could keep you behind me but just punished the tires too much trying to build up a lead.

Why is that track so hard on tires? It doesn't seem like it would be...maybe it's just a rough surface.

Eh, I think I'm gonna have to go with a GTR. If I had a wheel I would so take the NSX but it's just too hard to control with a DS3, or at least it felt that way at that track.

I'm not sure why that track is so hard on tires either, my fronts were shot by lap 6, I almost pitted, but the handling didn't seem to be going away too awful badly.

LOL... not sure what happend on that first lap, when I spun I tried to get right back in it but didn't realize damage was on........ so I just ended up spinning again..... then it was my usual "try to catch up". I really enjoyed this race though, but I wouldn't want to run much on this track.

Nice job Ride, I don't know how you did it with that NSX, I tried one of those on this track, it was fast, but I spun a LOT. Congrats on a very good drive.

I'll get the new thread started, until then, plan on running Laguna Seca next week, I'll get the number of laps asap.

Hopefully, we'll get a few more cars on track. :)

Almost forgot, it's okay to change cars now right? We only have to stick with one once we officially start the series next week?

Sure it is. I'm going to switch cars also, just to a different GTR though. I'm running in another series and want to run the same car in both. If anyone really wants, or needs to switch even after the series starts, I'm sure it would be fine, unless someone else complains..... we are just having fun, no sense being hard core about it. :)

Thanks :)

Good race guys... I'm glad I wasn't the only one in trouble with tire wear. :p I think the numerous long radius corners and double apexes might have something to do with it. I thought I'd just try to keep the car on the road after seeing that 2:26:xx (wtf ) from boshuter during qualy and thilanliyan starting to open up a gap. It was pretty cool watching him fight with his car from behind though lol. They both spun so I think I got a freebie today. I'm not a fan of cape ring either... that jump before the spiral looks ridiculous. :\
