Actually, it's not quite the same as he's rather fast in this group but not so much in the GT Planet Super GT league. lol It's funny how gracious and sporting he is when he wins but all hell (or excuses) breaks loose when he's not. Reminds me of Mansell to be honest, fast but his mouth is even faster. :awe:

You guys know eachother? :D

As for GT500, is it only Japanese cars that are allowed? I have no idea of the cars in GT500.

Thanks for the list Imported. Should we try to keep it to JGTC? And Japanese? I've read the Diablo can be tuned massively.

Only issue I have with keeping it to JGTC is I'm gonna have to scour the used car lots for one.. Wonder what the performance difference between the two are.

We are going to keep it to only the top list. All the SuperGT cars are premiums. The bottom list are not actually SuperGT, they are JGTC. If we limit it to the top list of cars (with the exception of the Nissan Xanavi Nismo Z), we won't have to worry about large HP/Weight discrepancys. No mods allowed with the exception of chassis stiffening (if you think that helps?). You can do oil changes (an oil change on a brand new Nissan GTR will bring HP from 479 to a little over 500).

We have the practice race this coming sunday, and first race will be the week after that. For this series everyone will have to have their car picked out before the first series race and we will run the same car all season.

I have all the cars, if anyone needs a car and doesn't want to have to grind for the money to buy one, let me know. I can gift you a car (one per day limit, so first come first served).

Errmm, do you mind gifting me the Calsonic GTR please? Very much appreciated if you can. Thanks.

Sounds good. Mind gifting the YellowHat Supra? Just want to try it out and I'll send it back in a couple days.. debating between the Takata NSX, Xanavi GT-R and the Supra.

Lol, I don't have all the cars in the game, but I do have all the race cars, including all colors/numbers of the ones that have more than one version. I got them all from trading, I hated Aspec and Bspec races and the only things I enjoyed about GT5 was car trading and online racing. I was trading 6 cars a day from 6 different psn accounts. :D

If you two will make sure you have me "boshuter" on your friends list, or send me a friend request, I'll get those cars sent. I can send one a day, so I'll send thilanliyan's tonight and Imported's car tomorrow evening. If I get only one of the requests tonight, I'll send that car first. Don't worry about returning the car, I will still have it, you can gift a car and not lose it yourself. :sneaky:

thilanliyan, I was sending Imported's car when I got your request. I'll send yours tomorrow evening.

Imported..... you have a new car :)

I really hope everyone gets to do a little practicing ....... these cars are a world apart from what we have been running. They definitely take some getting used to the extra power.

I was trying out the Supra and NSX last night.. I found the NSX very hard to drive. I do most of my testing at Laguna Seca as its the track I'm most familiar with and I must have spun every lap. If you can use the NSX well, I'm gonna be scared of you! :p

Supra was much more tame in comparison. Next up is to get a GTR and try it out.

The NSX if fast, but harder to control than the GTR or Supra.

Sent you a car, it already has soft tires and I've tuned it for the way I drive. It should handle pretty good, you may need to tweak some settings to suit your style.

Ok...... final drivers standing are posted on first page, as well as my response to the complaints and protests we have had about the last two races. D:

I think this series went very well and with the exception of one driver, we were all having fun. I welcome everyone who participated in the series to run in the new GT500 series..... but I don't want to see the complaining and excuses posted in the thread if you feel you were wronged. Send me a PM and I will look into it, or even better, talk to the other driver in pm and see if maybe there isn't another point of view instead of accusing someone of something. Some people need to realize that they won't win every race, and it's not because someone else did something wrong.... they simply got outran by a better driver. ;)

I'll be starting a new thread for the GT500 series in the next few days. Hopefully we can get a couple more people to sign up. I'd like to see at least 10 cars start the races. If any of you know anyone who would fit with our casual style, ask them if they are interested.

Don't forget, we will do a 10 lap race on Cape Ring this Sunday to get a feel for the new cars.

I am forced to respond to boshuter's extremely biased handling of the complaints.

All races through Tokyo
Had great fun, great battles with thilan, won Forest&Monza, lost in Tokyo fair and square. Never complained.

Suzuka
1. My Suzuka complaints should've been handled separately and before the start of the next race.

2. Everyone saw the video of the shameless rear-end ram, only boshuter didn't put his glasses on and didn't see the hard ram resulting in Atlas's car to jump forward. BS.

3. It is OK for thilan to deliberately cut a corner and gain time when fighting for position at Suzuka but it is not OK for Atlas to ONCE go across grass after recovering from spin, lose 3 positions and rejoin in last place without ever endangering anyone, let alone touching anyone. Horse BS.

Nurburgring
1. boshuter- you created a moral hazard by allowing the Suzuka violations go unpunished. Therefore I drove tougher than usual. Still WELL WITHIN CLEAN RACING rules though. I passed you and supersnake cleanly in accordance with clean racing rules I posted. You correctly assessed that Supersnake was targeting me many times trying to take me out; I saw it coming and avoided him successfully a few times until he rammed me at the carousel. I wasn't losing control in the carousel, that's just a damn lie and you know it. I had the correct line and got taken out, plain and simple. I re-passed him while keeping 2 wheels on the road which is perfectly within rules. Did I ram him to take revenge? No! I simply passed him and disappeared in the distance.

2. I made a clean inside pass on you. Contact occurred after I passed you and I was 3/4 car-length ahead. You brought the spin upon yourself by electing not to give me any room and almost took me out, too. You made the silly move and paid for it. See the Corner Rights rule.

I encourage everyone here to check out other GT500 and GT300 racing series on gtplanet.net ... I've been racing in the WSGTC and NAGTC where I am a known and respected clean racer. The championships there are much better managed and clean racing rules are strictly enforced by a board of stewards.

boshuter you are a sore loser and you are incapable of hosting a racing series as you apparently have no idea what clean racing is. I obviously have no interest in participating in your farce racing series. You turned it into a disgrace.

All the best to everyone else.

I'm not gonna bother posting in defence of myself (regarding Suzuka) since I have already addressed that before (and don't consider myself completely in the wrong).

I will say, the type of series you are looking for, is probably more at GTPlanet from what you described of those series, and you rightly race there.

I think most of the people in this series do not take it as seriously as you, but is by no means an unprofessional series or we would have people taking each other out left and right and complaints in every race...then we WOULD need a board of stewards. I personally will race hard but the results in the end don't matter much to me (in fact I haven't really even watched replays from the races other than Suzuka).

Does anyone else feel that I have no clue how to handle this series? Or is everyone else as glad as I am that we don't have to listen to more if his whining and bitching when things don't go his way? I have a feeling he is an only child.

Wow this is just like a real life racing... politics with the regulation body, protests about other drivers, and an illegal car. :whiste:

I really didn't get to race until Monza but I think boshuter ran the series as best as he could. He made it clear from the beginning that we'll be out there for fun and I think it was for the most part. I just don't think the series is big or serious enough to warrant the need for several stewards or a page worth of regulations. Hell, we're lucky if we even have enough of a turnout for all the points paying positions.

I think boshuter wins the "punted off the track the most" award to be honest.

lost in Tokyo fair and square. Never complained.

I'm pretty sure you were complaining about Thilan using a DS3 thus having less tire wear and that we should change the rules a bit. :p

That said, Atlas has always passed me clean for those very few laps we were racing each other. Nice racing with you and good luck to you at WSGTC.

I'll be around for the GT500 series. Here's to hoping a worse driver will come along....:)

Boshuter, if you have an additional GT500 car to spare, I'd be grateful. PSN is 'relsek' :awe:
