I wasn't trying to blame an internet forum for this in any way... I was just trying to correct an error that I was already called on. (It might have been a different forum) but I think we can all agree this place isn't supportive, and it doesn't have to be. Hell it makes for some pretty funny stuff actually. Seeing people getting so worked up over what a bunch of people hiding behind a keyboard is one of the finer things in life. And you know what? I agree with you 100%, my father and I have both been diagnosed Bipolar, and I have contemplated suicide a couple times. Luckily for me I have a strong family and it always boiled down to me not being able to do something so selfish to hurt my very supportive family and friends like that. Suicide is selfish and it is even worse to have to take your anger out on someone else before you go, Bradruth was right on the money. It's the crazy christian Southpaw that is all "boohoo he was a tortured soul, society blah blah blah" And seeking therapeutic help on the internet is the most lame-brained idea I have ever heard. Anonymity is whats great about the internet, and it is also it's bane. Thats why it cracks me up when people try to get legal advice, or car advice from these forums, I mean honestly how pathetic are you if you can't ask some real people face to face? I wouldn't immedietly call this guy scum, but he definitely made some VERY poor choices. I mean who's to say that dad didn't rape his daughter every night and she was addicted to crack/cocaine? Would they be scum as well? Hard to make assumptions wihtout getting the whole story, which is why trying to make assumptions about people over the internet is pretty retarted. IMO

I agree that it's horrible that he murdered two people, but I also think it's a tragedy that he took his own life.

I'm supposed to have ADHD according to my childhood shrinks. Does that make it oh so very sad that I, much like ANY kid going to school and living life, was teased, ridiculed, etc?

The kid was a murderer, plain and simple. While you are not disputing that fact, you are trying to find ways to transfer sympathy from the real victims tho the one who CREATED two victims in this mess. I don't care what 'condition' a person is diagnosed with, and I definitely don't care that he suffered from the same teasing that every 'geek' on earth gets from classmates... it does not make him a victim.

Could a tree-hugging environment have helped this kid? Maybe. Winning the lottery might have also changed his outlook on life, or getting laid perhaps. The fact of the matter is that this is reality, and nothing is just given to a person. Be it worldly goods and wealth or love, care and all that happy people stuff. Killing two people doesn't make him any more deserving either.

I don't know this AT member. I lurk the forums here, but I hardly ever visit OT due to the high amounts of insensitivity that goes on. What I usually see are jerks like jotosuds bag on people only because they present a view that isn't popular. Some people here think that William was a douchebag for killing those people. If there is a hell, he may very well belong there since there is no excuse for taking someone else's life without good cause. But few ever want to acknowledge that mental illness is a serious problem that can drive someone to extremes. It doesn't help that people can be so cruel too which easily exacerbates the illness. Why don't more people take more blame for the hurt they cause others....

RIP to William, and RIP to the two victims.
