There's a delay in the google ads banner iframe that's really annoying. EVERY page that loads ends up loading before Google ads...

I try to click something a particular topic or on a link and when the Google Ads finally loads, the links drop down to accommodate the Google Ad images. If you can adjust the iFrame, you should find a specific iFrame size and lock the ad banner height to x pixels. That will help make the pages load much more fluid unless you can cache the ad images locally or on a load balancer.

it might be chrome, they just did an update that disabled "directwire" fonts,

~ looks fine in IE at work

most likely. I recall a couple of chrome updates over the last ~3 years that have jacked fonts--especially in AT forums, for some reason.

well, it's all blank now

edit: all posts seemed to be showing blank for a few minutes. That was creepy

Just a brief disruption while we implement a profanity filter. You may see this happen again while we get it set up, but it should only be a temporary thing.

😱

This is totally optional, right?

Enabled by default for all users and forums. You can, however, disable it for yourself within your account preferences. Anything in the profanity filter will be displayed as asterisks, but users who opt out will see the full text; your settings will not affect how it is displayed to others.

Enabled, thanks.

I would suggest you change the wording of this preference. "Profanity contents"? Sounds like whoever wrote this add-on isn't a native English speaker.

Profanity Contents: [ ] Enable Profanity Contents

Since we probably have profanity contents in your board, they would be filtered by default. By enable this option, you would be able to see them.

In English:
Profanity: [ ] Disable Profanity Filter

A profanity filter is enabled by default for all users. You may choose to disable this filter.

Agreed, but maybe clarify a little more:
Safe Space: [ ] Enable Adult Mode

A Safe Space is enabled by default for all users. You may choose to be an adult.

OK, as it should be.

I would love a way to force a non-responsive, non-mobile view on my phone. I've found that random things go missing in a UI when it's shrunk. I'd rather scroll around and have full functionality than a "sleek" design.

While trying to search through this thread, I'm also having a hard time figuring out how to search within a single thread. I'm on iOS 9.3.4 on Safari.

This annoys the crap out me too. The old mobile site had the same problem. Drove me crazy.

I'm still waiting for an option to disable inline images. I've stopped browsing on on my work machine until it's fixed. That also means I spend no time here.

I don't know what browser you're using, but Chrome and Firefox on Android have a "Request desktop site" option.

Yes, so does Safari. The problem is that the site uses media queries based on viewport size to determine the layout. This is known as a "responsive design," not to be confused with its responsiveness from a performance perspective. So even when loading the desktop version, it resizes everything and shrinks the UI.

Edit: just realized you're a programmer. Oh well, I guess the explanation is for the masses. LOL!

I guess all I can say is it works for me on Android.

Content Bug Report: User Titles with HTML <br> tags are not being processed. They were likely converted into a format that would be display safe, but we'd like to see them processed as HTML instead. Don't know if that's at the database end, or if Xenforo converts them for display.

Yeah, those did not convert properly. It really only applies to mods with multiple titles, as nobody else has custom titles. They'll get around to updating their titles soon enough.

Now that the site is "modern", I'd love to see some sort of "Original Poster" or "OP" badge so that we know the person replying is the one that started the thread.

Pretty sure I've seen this on other Xenforo forums, probably some add-in somewhere.

Forum is quite stable and usable. Apparently not many folks coming in to report problems so much as theme / feature requests.
Myself, I'd like to be able to copy / paste tweets.

Forum is quite stable and usable.

Is that surprising? Why shouldn't it be both stable and usable? Pour soup out of a can and it should be edible.

Still on the slow side, though. Compare this forum to HardForum. The speed difference is dramatic, with both running XenForo.

Had an odd occurrence after posting a reply. Posted to first page of thread, instead of then moving me to last page, my reply as well as the former last reply got appended to end of first page with a statement about other messages available. Selecting that and it put me on 2nd page of replies. Not sure what design intent is, but it seemed odd/clunky.
