I've experienced a few black screen issues on my 4K Wasabi Mango and Fury X over displayport. The black screen issues went away after enabling Freesync though. Probably just driver issues I'm guessing.

It could still be cable, since you aren't running 4k @60Hz over direct HDMI. It's hard to isolate the issue.

[edit: Saw your subsequent post, where the new cable worked without flicker. Hopefully you'll resolve the overscan issue]

Blah I figured it out. I was using 4096x2160. 3840x2160 fits the screen perfectly. Apparently both are considered "4k".

This whole thread reminds me why I try to avoid adapters at all costs. Just causes trouble and extra $. :)

Well now that I got it working perfectly, 4k gaming is pretty damn awesome. Only played WoW with it so far. Gotta try some shooters.
