Did anyone notice there is a new bios the Soltek's website that says it fixes the temp issue?

By golly. Gotta try it tonight.

Regarding the memory timings - 1T is probably too tight with 512MBx2. I was just testing it along with other settings and was surprised to see Sandra reporting 2T.

I just installed the 1.4 BIOS. The temperature is sort of fixed.

It holds at 43 C for me, then oscillates back and forth between 43 and 38, then drops to 6 C every once in a while... better than before as there's no 250+ C temps reported :)

Been running 9x263 = 2366 MHz for a little while now while running seti. Everest shows 43 C max in the cpu temp department. The mobo sensor is pretty hot though at 65 C.

sweet I need to update hopefully they can get it fixed. time to ramp this thing up a notch again!!! 1t is not too tight with 2*512 2t kills bandwidth

I just updated the bios and it still reads bad fromt eh Soltek HM 50c at idle, Sandra 2005 Lite 23c, Everest home 45c. I just dont't get it how hard isit to put out a product that works this is a huge problem I can't overclock if I don't know how hot it is. Lydi what's going on with this?

After installing 1.4, my BIOS temps dropped by 10C to 40C idle. But Soltek HM is unchanged at 50C.

Hi All,
Actually the HM must be revised for the new BIOS W1.4 of SL-K8TPro-939. Therefore our software engineer is working on it. We will inform you all when it is released.
Sorry for the inconvenience!!

Thanks and regards,

Hello dashiki. I had the same problems with my old SL-K8TPro-939 board. It was a "VER: KC" board, do you have one of those aswell?. The version can be read in the corner closest to the pci slots. I have returned that board and will probably get a new one today. Let's hope this new board doesn't have the same issue.

mine says KD so hopefully the new HM will fix the issue but what's up with the 3 programs and 3 readings? how come none of the reviews said anything about this?

anyone have an issue with running this board at 1:1 with ddr500? I can't get it to run stable at 240 which is dissapointing. any one else know what could be wrong or maybe a setting I have overlooked.

my new ram is Kingston Hyper-X PC4000 (DDR500) 2*512

Yo LydiAtSoltek,

I dont want to waste my money if it dont.

I'm still getting the same memory problems. This board has version KD. I'm guessing the problem could be some incompatibility between Kingston memory modules and this board. Please test this Lydia. Thank you.

dashiki: Try download "A64 Tweaker" and lower the memory timings to the correct values. It works for me.

2x512 Kingston Hyper-X 3200 2-2-2-5 Modules.

orangats problem is different. He can't change his 1T/2T option. Which we can all change. But still, there is something very wrong here.

Hello all,

I just received my SL-K8TPro-939 yesterday, along with a new 3000+ Winchester. I am wondering what programs you are using to check the temps? Sorry for the ignorance.
