bios temp is 50c at idle at default volt settings
system temp is 27c
In xp with the hwmonitor from the cd I get
cpu die (doesn't say what that is in the program or the manual) is 50 at idle and 65 after ½ an hour of load in prime95, cpurightmark and r1 is 27c
Since the air which flows seems to be quite cool and I think the processor runs quite decent (sometimes it reboots but not especially under load) and since it is a winchester it shouldn't be able to run stable at that high temperatures.
If I try the hwmonitor 1.26f from the german hp of soltek, the cpu die is only 18 degrees and r1 (whatever that is on this specific mobo) is the same, 27c
In the first program the volt is 1.38 or something (im not home right now) and in the 1.26f version it's set to 1.42
I don't know what to believe - is the mobo defect, is it a bios issue or is it the hwmonitor?`Should I invest in a new cooler just to make sure, or can you tell me if it's normal with so high internal temps - is it external temps people brags with when the say 33 idle and not above 40 at load? Can the motherboard influence the cpu temp or what is most likely the problem? MBM isn't supported by this mobo and speedfan isn't either so I can't even check it myself.
