yo lydia! I switched from asus a8v to sl-k8tpro-939! And I have to tell you, I'm lovin it! For starters the hardware monitor matches my cpu probe! It never did on the asus. This makes me feel better. Also it is faster than my asus a8v! Thanks for keeping us updated...CHEERS!

Hi Kabob983,
Thank you very much for the inquiry.
Yes, we are developing the mainboard based on NForce 4 chipset now:)
If everything goes well, you will see it on the market in the end of this year.

Hi Bap4201,
Thank you very much for the great support to Soltek:)
We will keep working on quality & performance mainboards.

Thanks and regards,

I have received pictures from Lydia which show the PCI/AGP lock, and I replied to ask some details.

to bap4201:
Why you choose Soltek to replace your ASUS?
Does ASUS do something wrong?
How will you deal with your ASUS board?

I understand,hehe.
But in China there are no so many people dabbling computers like this.
I mean someone will change rigs once in a while, but few will change mb from this brand to another.

But how do you deal with the ASUS board then?Sell it?

Thanks for your comments.
I would like to show everbody here some pictures that we took during previous tests which confirmed that PCI/AGP has actually been locked. However, I have no idea how to post them on the forum.

So does the PCI/AGP lock work or not? Isaacyang, has Lydi gotten back to you with your questions? Could you please post what you have found with those pics from Lydi.

I think i asked for those pics a tad too late. I'd appreciate it if you could share your findings.

Cheers.

does anyone know if this mobo will work with winchester core cpu's with the latest bios?? I really like this board and the ONLY thing holding me back is the uncertainty of getting it to see my winchester. I don't want to have to "borrow" a 130nm cpu to boot and flash with.

Bumping, as i am interested in buying this board. So any confirmation that the PCI/AGP lock work and it supports the new socket 939 90nm Athlon 64's?

I got the pics in my mail too - thank you LydiAtSoltek, and congratulations!

Wesley, may I ask the week of the K8T800 Pro chipset on your Soltek board?
In case it's older than other K8T800 Pro boards you tested would you consider buying a new one from newegg to see if it overclocks better?

And if you have the time perhaps could you test a 90nm processor on it?

Thank you very much,

I noticed that Soltek has released a new bios (W1.2) for this board. Anyone know what changes this includes?

I hope in the future that soltek releases more comprehensive release notes other than the one liner on the web site.

Other than that, I put together a system with this board and a 3000+ 90nm proc over the weekend and it was a flawless exercise...

So, looks like with Rolla's system, the board runs the Winchesters well. That's good news :)

Man, I'd love to get a NF4 Soltek, as they are one of the few makers I've heard of that seems to have fewer problems than functions.

I think I'm just gonna delay buying a mobo and CPU until they are released. Won't be too bad as I'll be home for the holidays and away from my computer anyways. Only bad thing is that I ordered HL2 today :( Guess I'll have to sweat it out!!

Yes, I haven't done any overclocking yet but out of the box the board worked perfectly with the winchester.

I can comfirm that the Winchester core does work perfectly :)

I built my system as soon as the Winchester hit the market. I chose the Soltek based upon all the issues the other 939s boards seem to have. Almost every forum I read no matter the board had sometype of issue. I am very pleased with the board and will be purchasing a 2nd one for wife.

OK that does it, I'm ordering the Soltek NOW. I'm gonna also get some OCZ 3200 EL rev.2; 512mb x 2. Any problems with this before I order this memory? Will a Thermalright XP 90/120 work?

Never mind on the memory question. I had a brain fart and didn't see BAP's post. He's using OCZ without issues. However, I'm still curious about the Thermalright heatsink.

There should be no problems whatsoever running the OCZ Plat. Rev. 2 memory. That stuff is great! Thinking about buying some myself.

The thermalright HS should work well enough, but I'd go with the Zalman 7000, as I've heard that it works well with this board.

Ask Bap as he just switched from his Zalman's to water cooling. Said he liked it :)

Is there still a problem overclocking past 250 mhz? I'd rather get this than the MSI but I'd like to be reasonably certain a Bios fix is going take care of the 250 limit.
