I see ads where the products are compared to competitors' products all the time here on TV in the US. Case in point the PC vs Mac ads. If they are illegal, how come they were put on TV?

I guess you failed to see the wording....was.....that means past tense!...I never it is currently illegal. Of course it was all about being a good sport, gentlemanly, honourable..
I think many issues and personal attacks in these forums stem from miss reading posts or poor grammar.....

Anyway this is going back 20+ yrs.....Im not surprised it changed now, its very much a me, me world nowadays with little respect for others....

Guys, why hate? I like it much better when there's competition in the VGA market. I've bought cards on both sides of the aisle and am happy with my decisions. In the end, competition only benefits the consumer.

frankly its embarrassing, if I were anyone professionally associated with this forum I'd insist on it becoming more cordial and a little bit more liberal with the ban-hammer when people forget their manners.

There are ways to express your opinion and there are ways to just be a whiny prick, and the whiny prick ratio here is way above my personal tolerance threshold which is why I simply don't bother posting around here much anymore.

What professional in the world would want to waste their time casting pearls before swine? This forum is degrading into exactly what the powers that be must want it to become...if they wanted any different then they'd see to it and make it so.

I don't think there would be too many people left if they started banning people. You would think they own stock or work for the companies themselves. Why would ordinary consumers care so much about it? Especially since we are only talking about video cards here.
