How come?I preordered the asrock killer sli/ac but if it doesn't ship 3/2 I'm probably going to cancel it , it shouldn't have any problen with the any of the m2 slots or 16x pcie slot, just can't use the first pcie 1x

Looks like Newegg is up to their usual price gouging. All of the RAM kits I was looking at are $20 more than they were pre-Ryzen reveal. Never using them again.
Any of you looking at Asrock boards they've updated their website for the AM4 series.

M.2 SSD prices are starting to be somewhat ok and if 2x SATA perf or about that is needed or desired, why not.
I'm also looking forward to 3D ReRAM and 3D Xpoint based SSD in 2-3 years, assuming prices become somewhat reasonable by then.
I use a Samsung 960 EVO as a scratch disk for video and photo editing. The awesome speeds are very helpful in that role.
As an OS drive, I think it'd be more difficult to notice a difference versus a Samsung 850 EVO or similar drive.
get the s340 elite case much prettier with the peanut glass. 🙂Ordered 90% of the parts for Dracula Ryzen build, just fans, OS, and some miscellaneous parts remaining. Dropped down to 1700 and made a few other changes to save money. Will throw in a larger SSD and more RAM later.

GPU: 2x (Crossfire) XFX R9 390 Double Dissipation 8GB - *
SSD: SanDisk Z400s M.2 256GB SATA III - $80

edit - I mean temper glass.
edit - now I look at it again the hermaltake P3 SE is prettier and it haz temper glass too 0_0
My Skylake build's case is an In Win 303 (black). Love tempered glass, and yes it's pretty. 🙂 The P3 (cleaner than your church shoes) interests me for the color scheme and open design mostly.
My last 9 years of computing have been hidden away inside of windowless cases.
I liked LED's back when I was in college. Now I'm apparently the old man yelling at the kids to get off his lawn... but I like my LED backlit keyboard 😛
I want a case that's pretty much unseen. And *silent*. The action should be on the screen, not assorted bling showing off how I spent too much. ;-)
Just one major question: why the low profile cooler? While that cooler is very good, you're compromising on both cooling capability and noise simply due to the fact that it's rather tiny. The Define R4 has plenty of space for big air coolers. Pretty much any tower cooler would outperform that when you look at noise and temps together.
Oops, clicked the wrong one. Thank you for pointing that out. Adjusted build here. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mgwRM8Just one major question: why the low profile cooler? Also, don't get the R4 if you're ever considering water cooling. I'm getting rid of mine mostly for that reason (although the desire for a smaller PC also plays into it). It also shows its age in a number of ways - front fan mounts are less than ideal for vibration dampening, cable routing is so-so, top vents are an eyesore if used. Other than that it's a great case.
Make sure you pick the AM4 version of the cooler. It's a separate SKU. Regular ones do not include AM4 mounting hardware.Oops, clicked the wrong one. Thank you for pointing that out. Adjusted build here. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mgwRM8
As far as water cooling goes, I have no interest in it. Makes my skin crawl thinking about liquid running through my computer.
Noctua has launched three specific SKUs for AM4. I'll bet Be Quiet! will make mounting hardware for AM4 soon, if they haven't already.Does anyone know if Noctuas cooler will work? Or the Dark Rock 3?
Noctua is selling some of their coolers with the AM4 bracket already installed. They are also selling the AMD4 bracket on ebay for $8. Also, you can get one for free by showing them your cooler, and a copy of your AMD4 motherboard/CPU receipt.Does anyone know if Noctuas cooler will work? Or the Dark Rock 3?
