Thanks pelikan:).I think I can go higher on the FSB.I never tried.I know the CPU will do 2.4GHz with 1.85V stable and probably 2.5GHz but with 1.9Vcore more than likely for stability.

So that's right out of the box, no vdd mod? What memory timings?

Yep,thats right out of the box,no mods.I had an earlier version 8RDA+ can't remember if it was A2 or A3 that would only do 190.I needed the vdd mod to get to 205 FSB which wasn't too bad.The memory timings are relaxed 2.5/3/3/7 at that high DDR.I could probably tighten them a bit and raise the VDD a bit too.

I have to say "WOW" again. You really scored with this MB. And I think those timings are good for running 230 FSB DC.

You hit the nail on the head.Running in "dual channel mode" at 230 FSB.I couldn't believe it when I booted into windows like that and it was stable too.I won't be able to go higher unless I underclock my ram.At 240 FSB that would be 480 DDR which is a little high for my ram.I might be able to do it but my ram will need 2.9 or 3.0Vdimm which is a little higher than I like to use.I will try one stick of OCZ 512MC PC3700EL I have also.

got my NF7-S v2.0 last week, and after a little bit of tweaking, this is what i have to share :)

AthlonXP 1700+ T-Bred A @ 1845 (8.5x 217fsb 1.75/1.73 actual vcore)
NF7-S v2.0 no mods
GeIL PC3500 512 (2x256) Ultra Platinum MemTimings CAS2-6-3-3
SLK-900U /w SmartFan2 @ 3200RPMs

i have a t-bred B in the mail, will try tweaking it later on and will post results :)

why not lower the fsb to 166 or whatever is stable with ram synced, and raise the cpu multipier?

Shim, I should just ask in motherboards, but for a quick opinion which do you prefer? or have you only used the n7f-s?

No I don't have multipliers above 12.5 available. If I did I would have used them... but I have some PC3200 with Winbond BH-5 chips coming this week, so we'll see how high I can get those to run. They're guaranteed for 200 mhz, so at worst, I'll be running 200x11.

8RDA+
1700+xp
512 Mwave cheap pc2700 (looking to changing this ASAP, dont ever go generic on the RAM...take my word for it!)
190 fsb x 9.5
Memory definately holding me back :( currently memory is at 145fsb thats about how high this chunk will go.
Had to bump my Vcore to 1.80 in order to run prime95 stable for over 6 hrs.

You raise an interesting point. There is a component internal to AMD chips that basically captures the system clock and multiplies it by the CPU's multiplier. So in theory, this component could be incapable of latching onto quick clocks. That being said, I doubt it. If the rest of the CPU can run at 2GHz, I seriously doubt that part of the chip would have trouble latching a 300MHz clock, let alone a 200MHz one.

thats a sick oc, what your HSF? temps? cpu voltage? thanx

I use an SLK800 with a TMD fan, CPU voltage is 1.775 in BIOS, around 1.74 actual in Windows under load. Temps are about 50C.

Epox 8k3a+
2200mhz (200x11 @ 1.75v)

If I didnt have my video card overclocked Im sure I could hit 215-220fsb, Ive gotten 210fsb out of it at a lower multiplier but had video tearing.

Theres no agp/pci lock, and 1/5 divider. Still, I cant complain -- its a KT333 board that does 200fsb. Best $60 I ever spent.

235 was a no go :(

so yeah i am RMA'ing my ch-5 twinmos chip to memoryX and getting a new one...
