Am I the only one who hates the White Stripes?

Jack White really wails on that guitar sometimes, and it sounds good. I think their raw, rock simplicity is a nice change.

I really don't understand why people say Meg White is a good drummer. Sure she has bewbs, but she is barely playing.

I like one song every now and again. They are too monotonous when taken as a whole album. You can only do so much with a guitar and drums alone. Many of their songs sound like advertising jingles. They have a new song that I heard on Sirius Alt Nation that is really horrible. Not in the same league as some of their hits from the prior two albums. The vocals are just him screaming basically. I was tired of that in the 80's.

Haven't really heard anything of theirs but I watched that Ball and a Biscuit vid that someone above posted and liked that.

Meg is pretty cute, haha.

Their lo-fi sound is pretty neat, it's cool to hear big muff fuzz boxes in rock music again but that said I don't really care for their music or Jack White too much.

I'm a fuzz freak though 😛

I've got one of their albums and it's okay, but it just doesn't hold up for extended/repeat listening. Just mho of course.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that I think their music is crap however I do think, though, that they are entirely over-rated.

The stripes are the best new rock out there.
Meg is an untalented bitch, and Jack is a tool, but they tear up as a two piece.
There are so many bands out there that wish they could rock half as hard as the stripes with twice as many instruments.

Their new album is very specific to a hard 4 on the floor kick drum. Many may not like it, but who cares?

De Stijl is a fantastic album from cover to cover. If you don't like it, you have no soul.

They might be better if they had a drummer that could play the drums. She sucks.

Supposedly she plays that way because that's what Jack wants. I like it actually.
