here's an example... bear with me: a private investigator shows up with pictures of documents that say something about someone you know that you think is untrue, and the document was written by a cop. then you tell the p.i. that you don't believe everything on that document to be true about the person you know and that they should be notified about the accusations against them. do you think it'd be fair for the cops to come knocking on your door and throw you in jail? if so, then there's probably no way i can convince you otherwise... personally, i don't think that's fair. what if you were the one being unfairly accused?
How did the PI come about these documents?

If the cops came a knocking, does the documents knowing what the pi believe is everything to be true when it's not arrest the pi when the documents accuse the cops of writing it and you know it's untrue?

So do other people, but he may be "the sworn enemy of AT" and "no doubt part of an organized TFNN conspiracy".

What kind of dossiers are you guys talking about? Warnings and vacations are obviously logged for each member, and that is no surprise. What more is being recorded? Home addresses? SSNs?

It was a member of the moderation staff that used the term "jeopardize", not mine. I have a hard time imagining what accusation could have been so serious that it led to investigating a member's PMs.

You have a hard time realizing the privacy of the mod forum?

I am sure like myself many people revealed things that they do not want so publically known.

Going into the mid forum was akin to browsing email on someone's laptop citing they should have locked the desktop if they didn't want to make it public.

Being people were taking screenshots and copy pasting shows those parties KNEW they were being dirty bastards. FUCK THEM!

Did you notice that I used the word "crime"?

How did the PI come about these documents?

If the accusations are true, the PI reached in your mailbox, ripped open your mail, scanned the letters, Photoshopped them into something insane, then shoved them in your face as incriminating evidence.

My guess is that it is more along the lines of a Nixonian "enemies list"

Just to make my point clear, you're not talking about a dossier like this, right?

not trying to start shit or anything, but i think you might be mistaken... or maybe i'm mistaken... i dunno. but i do know for a fact that you guys have something like a dossier on me. you and other mods have told me... you just didn't call it a dossier. there's an example of it in everyone's profile area, where it explains what warnings or bans you were given and why.

LoKe disagrees, but that's OK, I guess.

What some are calling dossiers are the notes that are recorded when infractions are given. This is what we have previously called a "track record".

With 100K members, maybe 100-200 are the ones that are worried; they should be; they try to cause trouble and break the guidelines.

Because of the way the new system was put into place in vB; these troublemakers are able to escape from repercussions until they cross the line multiple times in a short period. Most of the time; the system lets them slide and they know it.

the police accidentally left it wide open for the pi to see it? i dunno. lol it was just a silly analogy to try and prove a point of attempting to understand the other side and give the person being accused a chance to defend themselves.

i apologies if i insulted you. that's not at all the intention i had.

all i was saying was that this is a mess and i don't like seeing my friends (perk, mosh, and ga) get insulted the way they've been insulted this entire thread. i was also saying that there might be a misunderstanding. i hear you, you took a lot of time arriving at a conclusion. that doesn't mean there wasn't a misunderstanding that systematically lead you to your conclusion. for example, a math equation where you accidentally plug in the wrong number for one of the variables... it may have taken you a while to complete the equation, but does it mean that the answer was correct? no.

I'd also interject a question asking how your friends were insulted in this thread? I read this whole thread and saw no such thing.

That said the mods only divulge information they wish to divulge, and since we will NEVER see the whole story, you'll not have a correct picture anyway.

Additionally most here just want more info in order to prove the mods wrong, why would they do that?

I liked Mosh myself and wish I knew what happened but I see no requirement for the Mods to give me the answer. Just how if I get fired from a job, I might not know the real reason, I just have to take what they tell me.
