Was talking w/ the fiancee last night and the conversation was going well... then all of the sudden she brings up the fact that we'll be getting married exactly 1 yr from sept 29th this year. Then she says I can't wait to have our pre-1 yr wedding celebration and I'm like ummm what? I'm already going to a concert on the 30th that month and we live 3 1/2 hours away. She gets pretty upset and tells me that she didn't expect me to think it through and now she sees whats more important. I'm like OK, LISTEN UP... you are just now bringing this up and I got the concert tickets over a week ago with my friend. I then offer to back out of the concert and she says NO, I don't want you to do that (of course meaning she sure as hell does want me to). So then I tell her to come visit me that weekend and we'll celebrate Friday (the day before the concert) and she said she doesn't want to be left with nothing to do on Sat. while I'm at the concert w/ my friend. Argh, I can't win.. never can. Am I in the wrong here? Please someone help my sanity!

yeah, do not feel odd... that is just a bit "off"... i remember when we were getting married, and i happened to mention the day that was one year to our wedding, but it was just in passing thinking how long that the next year was going to take... boy was I wrong!
Tell her to cherish this time in planning and being engaged because hopefully, it will be the only time for her or you to experince this!
why do you need a pre party? you only have a bachelor party like a couple weeks before the wedding. she is fkkn whakked, slapa ho
So here's my question.... for some reason I feel bad about this whole thing even though I do assume I'm not in the wrong. Should I not go to the concert now and sacrifice my plans so we can celebrate? (puss out)

Pre party seems dumb but her reaction seems in line with most women from my experience.
Had a similar situation last night even where she wanted me to do something, I told her I didn't want to, she got all worked up about it so I said "fine, I give in" and then she's all like "I don't want you to do it because you feel like you have to, I want you to do it because you want to". What a load of crap, I said I didn't want to so there was not solution after that other than her getting pissed really.
Reminds me of the previews for that movie "The Break Up" where Jennifer Aniston is like "I want you to want to do the dishes" and Vince Vaughn says "You want me to want to do the dishes? Who "Wants" to do the dishes?!?!?" :laugh:

Can't spend the money right now though.
I'd love to see Breaking Benjamin, Crossfade and 3 days grace.
Can't run away from em all. And I sure as hell do not want to start over. I've been with my fiancee for 2 1/2 yrs. They all have their ups and downs.
