i think you are on the right track, but we arent supposed to do things ONLY because they make you happy. there is a reason men are usually in charge...because we tend to be more logical, less emotional, so the decision making should be handled by the more logical person in the relationship. i dont care if you are a man or woman, as long as the logical one is making the decisions...it just happens to usually be men. women are equal and much better at other things, so its not like i think you or any other woman is inferior in anyway.

i dont, at all, disagree with you.

my point was to someone who felt that The Bible said that women were supposed to do as they were told. They pulled one scripture out of the entire New Testament to say something that empowered men and demeaned women.

Now, I am FAR from a feminist. In fact, I am a very conservative, old fashioned middle aged woman. And I have a very UN-traditional relationship. But... hahaha... it just gets sooooo old to hear the same old MIS-read crap to mean something it does not.

Every couple needs to find their own role. Men are better at some things and women others ... generally speaking... i do not deny that. but there is a whole misconception, misunderstanding about one little sentence in an entire idea that is soooo used for a specific purpose... to falsely emower certain men.

I beleive that it is up to TWO grown mature adults in a relationship to decide and agree on what their roles should be and get on with life. I think it is foolish for ppl to find someone they are hot for, or think they are in love with who disagree on profound fundamental issues then fight.

it is just so much easier to find some one that you are suited to, who you agree with, who you share the basic morals with and go from there than it is to fight about cleavage, money, bosses, and etc with someone who is not the right one... no matter how much you wish they were.

actually it expresses sex as a convenant bond to share with 1 person. it makes mention of the bond being special as long as the covenant is there. ive studied this in school and faced the situation plenty of times.

that doesnt mean sex outside of marriage is good because most people wont achieve that sort of relationship without it. commitment is hard to come by these days.
