My gf knows who is in charge. The man is the head of the household.

It's your girlfriend dude.....

Think of it more than a trophy than an embarrassment.

If it was your teenage daughter, then yeah, you could have a point, but its not.

After 9 1/2 years of marriage I can not remember that last time I felt empowered enough to let my wife do something

And that pretty much sums my attitude as well.

"I don't care what you wear if it makes you look good, you're still coming home with me so I'm not worried"

just know you are going to lose her.

If you can't trust your chick to be able to walk down the street naked and turn down all the puppies that folic to her, you just aren't the man in the situation, oops big edit: or she is just using you or not to move forward...which is a huge deal breaker.

My first wife (reason we are not together is she broke her neck....long story) was hot. Dressed in mini-suits during the 9-5 and much less 5-? :).

A lot of guys didn't get it...at the same time I knew they wanted her. She loved the attention and I was her outlet. Most of the theme parks in florida we consumated in multiple locations ;).

On the flipside, I myself (not so much now), was a bodybuilder and used to show off too with clothing and helping move heavy things. She unlike some of my other g/f's wasn't always telling me you just did that because you want to F her.

However, bottom line...no one does anything usually to hurt the other person, if you can't accept her way, she is simply not the chick for you...don't try to change anyone, and don't let them change you.

I spent 5k to get you cleavage, you best show it off...
that is what my husband told me upon viewing this thread.

why wouldn't you be proud of her if she has a nice chest?
but, there is something to say about being sexy vs. being slutty/

Its tradition, and a part of most religions. I ask her opinion and listen, but in the end decisions are mine.

Well, there's the sense that you shouldn't be so sensitive, but if it bothers you that much and she cares about you enough, you could talk to her about it, to be honest. But really, in this case, you're being quite, erm, possessive in an aspect.

In 1850 it might have been that way, but you just sound like an insecure ogre.

Who says you can't change tradition? And most religions were formed by men in a time period when it was customary in most cultures for males to be the dominant ones in the relationship and in society.

Society's changed, though, and I think you're lucky to have the girlfriend you do because I don't think most women (myself included) would put up with that macho crap. Good relationships are formed on trust and mutual respect. You can't really respect someone (imo) if you don't see them as an equal.

And as far as the OP goes, you can talk to her about how it makes you feel when she wears revealing clothes, but you shouldn't be telling her what to wear. My mom's first marriage was very abusive and over stupid things like her hair and her clothes. I'm glad she had the sense to leave and I hope that if your relationship ever escalates to that point that your girlfriend has the guts to leave, too.

"protective" isn't the right word. I would have used childish or immature.

Well if you "allow" her to let her tits hang all over the place like some sort of whorish cow then she can't say anything if you decide you want to take your sak out on a hot summers day. No more need for gold bond bay-bee!

Whatever happened to cod pieces? That would be hysterical!
