anyone find any proof this company has a right to be selling songs?
If not: why bother paying a dime if it's not going to the record companies or the artists? you're better off just downloading them yourself, instead of paying this company to rip off the industry.

I don't know; at least you're making an effort to compensate the artists. They claim they're legal, and they haven't been shut down by suit or law yet so at least there's a chance it's legit whereas piracy is piracy for sure.

I would imagine that allofmp3.com is illegal. By buying a song off of them you are essentially importing the song into the US. The songs violate US copyright laws and if you were to buy a cd of songs in Russia and bring it home they would confiscate it and possibly fine you for importing something illegal.
While you can hide the cd in your luggage and it may not be found, the internet leaves lots of footprints to tell the RIAA where you've been.
This is no more legal than downloading songs on a p2p client.

What?!?!?!

You can't be serious. Have you ever gone through customs? Assuming you aren't carrying a pound of pot or cocaine on you you aren't going to have anything confiscated.

"In the User Agreement Allofmp3 states that you may not use the service if it is in conflict with the legislation of your country. Of course Allofmp3 has added this as a kind of disclaimer. "
"I can confirm the legality of allofmp3.com
You can legally buy/download mp3-songs from this site if it does not breaks the law the national legislation of the country in which you will be during that moment.
Sorry for my english."
i'm still doubting the legality of this, as well as the fact that the US record companies and artists won't be seing a dime of money.

Unless allofmp3.com gives a list to the RIAA I dont think they can legally do <chris farley> JACK SQUAT!</chris farley>
Or they could break our privacy by sueing the sh!t out of all the isp's in the country and monitor our online activity and invade our privacy, then we would sue the sh!t out of them for that. Or they could invade rusia with there army of crusty old money grubbing moraless bastards.

You see, in rusia mp3's download you! HA DIE RIAA

It may not be 100% legal but I would like to see what the RIAA is gonna do about it.

Don't know what to tell you guys having balance problems. I've dumped $30 in so far in (2 x $10 though one time CC's and 1 x Paypal) and it's showed up immediately each time (knock on wood).

I am having problems with online encoding now though :| I've got about 50 songs waiting to encode and they're just sitting there :| Waiting...

Personally, I would not give my credit card nor my money to anyone in Russia. It is way too dangerous. For me, its not that I feel that it is illegal, but its just giving them the money. I have heard horror stories about people's stolen identities because they bought from a seemingly legit website. They have no qualms about taking money from rich, foolish Americans. Before I put on my flame retardent suit however, I have been to Russia, and have seen shady deals there before.

that is why you use paypal or a one time cc. But this site has pretty much proven to be safe.

I don't know. I realize that it may seem legit, but in reality many businesses in Russia aren't. I think that its an awesome site because I can dl all my Russian mp3s, but at the same time I don't think that it's safe to do so. Prove me wrong.

Go too webcertificate.com and purchase a gift certificate. They come in the form of one time CC's. The charge is about $2 iirc. That's what I and several other people have used with no problems.

I signed up, using paypal, and the funds were taken out ($10 1-gig to try it out). How long does it take until I have VIP status?

I didn't use a one time CC through paypal. Just a regular paypal payment which I did today. Sorry.
