ALL THESE YEARS republicans have been crying about leftist activist courts. They cried when marriage equality was passed, they cried when Obamacare was upheld, but none of those rulings were the result of an leftist activist court. However, overturning R vs W defiantly was the result of an extreme far right religious activist court. That has now been proven.

And so, those religious righties can toss around the term activist court all they want but only they have succeeded in stacking then taking advantage of their activist court.

Do we realize what this monumental victory means? It all but negates this entire Donald Trump stacked US Supreme Court. THIS, my friends, fully delegitimizes to the fullest extent anything and everything this corrupt Trump court has done or will do in the future.
If this court had a soul they would resign and crawl back up into Trump's ass where they came from.

Yet another of their so called principles shown to be utter bullshit. Judicial activism is added to their list of lies along with

Law and order
Will of the people
Religious freedom
Big government
Pro life (only for the unborn)


The only one I can think of where they are consistent are tax cuts for the rich.

But the obscene string of bad luck for Biden starting with Afghanistan, obstruction within party with Manchin/Sinema, blue states forced to lift mask mandates, a world wide inflation issue but apparently it's still Biden's fault and to cap it off Ukraine. Good news had to happen. All lies with the house. If they can still squeak out a 1 seat majority, and 2 extra seats in the senate, Biden can finally get stuff done in his second half of his term.

They will have several years of work ahead before making that attempt since they have to replace justices on the court by campaigning against their retention this also means they have to win the governorship consistently to be able to put different judges on the court. I agree the fight in Kansas isn't over but it will take a long campaign as opposed to a quick win to change it now.

Kansas made abortion a right back in 2019. Republicans now want to remove that right by putting it on the ballot Tuesday.

My take on this, they know most people prefer the protections of Roe. They put this on the ballot now instead of in November because turnout during primaries is lower than the general. Republicans do well when turnout is depressed. The less people that weigh in, the more they can push policies people don't want.

Abortion rights are on the ballot in 5 other states so maybe the will of the people will finally be heard.

Kansas voters will be the first to directly weigh in on abortion rights in the post-Roe era (msn.com)

The best part of this is the high turnout. If this issue is energizing voters to this extent, it could help quite a bit in the mid-terms. Between the abortion issue, Zawahiri taken out, and the climate bill (hopefully) passing, it's a good start on eroding the GOP's advantage. The last piece we need is good economic news, particularly in relation to inflation, coming out between now and then.
