Voter participation has to be above 50% of the eligible voters to produce a legal election result, in the US the voter participation was 48% which is below that limit.

Farage hasn't just been linked to Trump, he's long been openly proud of his connections to him. He's Trump's mini-me. The odd thing being that he seems smarter than Trump (certainly far more articulate), yet has been electorally far less-successful.

So in that article Huffington herself says that the insinuation that any of those images are inappropriate, is absurd. Apparently these were a reference to a sketch they did together. She was in on it, by her own words.

As she tweeted later herself, isn't the whole point of this to believe women when they talk about sexual assault? You would think we might want to take the 'victim''s word for it that she wasn't a victim?

OK, so he's handsy. It seems he is generally handsy for comedy's sake, at least in the incidents of which he is accused. Is it great comedy? Not to me, not at all. But so far we have the initial accuser with all the photos that has already accepted the apology and moved on (possibly because it seems her intentions were dubious, at best...possibly). This one with Huffington, well, obviously that isn't a thing.

So, he's handsy. Why is this a thing that GOP insists on pushing? Anything to distract from their clearly tacit approval of a blatant and unapologetic child molester (Roy Moore) and blatant, unapologetic, and clearly proud rapist and sexual predator in their beloved president? Basically none of this is good for the GOP. The more they go after someone like Franken, the more they look like clowns.

Here's something: why not push more on Cornyn? This one looks pretty bad if you ask me, and on top of that, exposes a long-standing congressional "fund for rapists and predators" that the taxpayers have been seeding such that their elected representatives can go on secretly molesting women of all types, above the law. What the hell is that about? Why doesn't this have more legs? Seems like an equal opportunity, bipartisan target to honestly deal with this very real problem of molestation, predation, and rape.

It's as if there is a desire to make this political, and above dealing with it in an honest attempt to actually fix the problem.

I already objected to the idea that the woman Franken almost-groped could somehow be discredited by pictures showing her snogging some military bloke who has raised no objection. Now you seem to also have this idea that consensual physical contact is somehow unacceptable. Are we seriously now in a world where any kind of physical contact with another human being is defacto wrong _even if both parties are fine with it_? How about sticking with the example where someone objected, rather than trying to defend a line-of-attack that just makes you look ridiculous?

I see that repeated a lot. Nobody has actually provided any proof to back it up. I supect that would be difficult to prove for at least 2 of his accusers given that their names have not been publicly released. <shrug>
