If he had apologized prior to losing his Verizon gig and losing Gwen Stefani's Verizon sponsorship for her tour over this it may have meant something. But, I kind of find it hard to think much of it otherwise.

Also, the blog Hot Air did a video report on this incident and Akon's misogynistic lyrics and videos. It was up on YouTube until Universal Music Group claimed copyright infringement because the report showed bits of Akon's video and had YouTube pull it under DMCA. EFF Press Release

At least he fits in with most other rappers. He probably didn't manage to finish high school either.

She looks like a really skinny > 18 girl, but I doubt you'd be able to tell in such an environment.

Considering no one under 18 was supposed to be in there, and how that chick could EASILY pass as over 18, I think it is ridiculous that all this crap is happening to him.

They said that Verizon is now dropping his ringtones that they were promoting on TV and what not because of this, and he's also not going to be opening up for Gwen Stefani (I think that's who it was) on her concert because of this.

BS if you ask me.

I don't have a problem with it, as he apparently had every reason to believe she was 18+. From the looks of it, she was all into it too. It is not, however, anything remotely related to classy behavior.

The guy's an animal.

Animal? The guy hasn't killed anyone. You can save the drama.
you don't have to mortally wound someone to be classified as an animal.

he looked like he was in the rut throwing that girl around and pumping her like he was going pop through his pants.

Are you an animal because last time I checked, every human being is an animal, not just AKON.

Explain yourself, idiot. Do-gooders like you are the ones with closets full of skeletons. You say that he spent 20% of his life in prison, but he's only 25. If he was 100, it would only be 5%. Quit your carping and enjoy the video.

Way to rationalize and form an argument ! NOT!

Her disagreeing with you doesn't make her an idiot, but your reactions to her point of view show you to be one and a lot more.
They are the typical, childish reactions of someone who feels a need to defend something or someone with whom they identify or admire. Nice choice </sarcasm>.

IF he makes it to 100, he'll be an anomaly, as far as convicted drug dealers are concerned. But as it is, he's just another ghetto thug taking your money, and smirking all the way to the bank.

And I'm a far cry from being a "do - gooder", but since your argument is based solely in emotion, I won't bother you with any facts.

Here's a couple of facts though.... No tour with Gwen Stefani and until he can swallow his overblown ego long enough to come clean, Corporate Sponsors will be hard to come by, unless he can get Girl's Gone Wild to front the bucks.... oh yeah, that guys in jail and paying off his victims for that stuff.... my bad....

I hope it was fun for him while it lasted.

Ask Hammer how long the big money lasts when you act like the fool.

Someone said "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."

Someone also said about this sort of stuff " I pity the fool."

Take your pick.

Choices, poorly made, last a long time.

BTW, he's 15 years behind Luke and 2Live Crew, with this copy- cat stuff.

Next time you're banging you bf/gf/husband/wife do us all a favor shed a tear lest we think you're actually enjoying it. The guy made some mistakes in his life, now he's an animal? I know the worst thing you ever did was miss that spot and you asked god for forgiveness but, believe it or not, we're all not perfect. This was a concert for a certain type of crowd and that girl went in there looking for some fun. You judging him for playing his part strikes me as jealousy cause nobody would look twice at you.

As far as I'm concerned, the age of the girl is the least important issue here. WTF does dry-humping have to do with Music? Especially this particular Dry-Humping? Looks more like blatant Assault to me.

Assault?! you've got to be kidding me. I, by no means, would say it's appropriate or would consider it "dancing" (even though it's pretty common to see this in clubs), but assault? oy...

The way he manhandled her, I dunno. Looked like she didn't have much choice once the "dancing started".

Narmer: 25 (years on Earth) x 20% (of life spent in prison) = 5 years (spent in prison). Just sayin', is all.

And the fact of the matter is that we really do know what Mosh meant by calling him an animal. But since you're unclear, one of the definitions of animal (from American Heritage) is as follows: A person who behaves in a bestial or brutish manner.

See how that works? No need for this argument then, am I right or am I right?

All this nonsense notwithstanding, I'm most disgusted with Akon because he got the girls to come up on stage and dance under the guise of winning all expenses paid trip to Africa, when all they really got was an all expenses paid trip to Dryhump Town. I mean, I think a lot of you would shake your moneymakers for your dream trip.

There's this thing called "negative attention" - you might want to look into it.

That means more money. YOU can take that to the bank. And stop with the corporate this or that cause the corporation exists for one reason: to make money.
Guess where that money comes from? That's right, your pocket.

I enjoyed the video because it was entertainment.
Mind if I dryhump your sister/wife/gf/mother on video? I mean, it's entertainment, right? You'll slap-box the one-eyed-champ to that, at least until you see her face. Hell, who knows, that might be what floats your boat.

All you critics hating on this guy are just jealous either cause you can't make in one year what he makes in one day or because he can get any woman he wants.
A little self-reflection there of why you idolize him, perhaps?

Man what an idiot. His music should be demoted for this kind of crap. He recent joint venture with DJ Khaled is all about selling drugs. Nice, way to make the high school kids think that its BALLIN to do drugs.
