I never said it was proof. I said it was evidence.
Yawn. Then change the word from "proves" to "shows." Your suggestion this
shows his guilt remains just as nonsensical. Lack of evidence does not constitute evidence. It's pure supposition.
That fact is that the school boldly stated that it would clear things up about their own actions.
And OJ's still looking for the real killer.
You immediately concluded the boy was guilty and the school and police were completely blameless. Every single thing you're read or heard since then you've twisted through that bias. Maybe the school has evidence that will help justify their reaction. Maybe they're blowing smoke. You don't know.
It stands to reason that if this were not true (like you assume) then Ahmed's family would happily release his disciplinary record ...
That's nonsense and you know it. There are many reasons why someone declines to reveal personal records, including the lack of any real benefit to doing so. What would the waiver accomplish? The school already has the records, and the court will get them soon enough. People like you are irrelevant to them, and you've already made up your minds anyway. What's the upside for Mohamed?
There is plenty of meaning here. [ ... puffery clipped ... ]
You continue to have trouble separating your vivid, biased imagination from facts. People with that problem are often considered delusional, even deranged.
Bull. Withholding it is what is causing speculation. If there were truly nothing to hide then it could only be more ammunition to support their accusation of racism and Islamophobia against the school. [ ... puffery clipped ...]
Sorry, you're just flat out lying here. The only question is whether you're deluding yourself. Whether you have the integrity to acknowledge it or not, the fact is you conspiracy nuts have perverted the sister's comment into an indictment against her brother and her family. One need only read any of the dozens of nutter media stories to see this. You personally have taken this even further, suggesting the fact the family is NOT trying to exploit this is further evidence of their nefarious plans. Deranged is knocking on your door.
Big whoop. My phone auto-corrected a typo and made it plural
Yet you let this purported error go by at least three times before addressing it. How convenient.
and you stooped low enough to try to work it into your point as if it would discredit me. ...
It was just one more thing you got wrong. One of many, yet you fixate on it while hoping the others will fade away.
Not because it fits my accusation, but because it fits their BEHAVIOR of not talking about it and not allowing the student record disclosure. [ ... clip, redundant ... ]
It's still nonsense, no matter how many times you repeat yourself.
LOL! I thought you just said that you don't treat speculation as fact. If it was a scam then their reaction (interrogating him and arresting him for a hoax bomb) was justified. You still seem to think that there is no way that the reaction was justified and you called that completely unproven and wishful position "truth" based on nothing more than their unsubstantiated claims. ...
You're lying again. What part of, "I've always conceded it's a possibility." is too hard for you?
O RLY?! The why are you almost the last one still defending him?
Because I am literate and have critical thinking skills. I know that your supposition and spin are not the same as fact.
Are you seriously telling me that the engineering teacher told him to keep it to himself and not show anyone else for any other reason? LOL! Talk about "speculation!" ...
No, I'm telling you the news reports did not state why the engineering teacher told him to put it away. I'm declining to fill that gap. You, on the other hand, fill it with self-serving supposition. My guess -- and yes, this is speculation -- is the engineering teacher would have also told him to put away any toys or gadgets Mohamed was showing around, not just his clock. (Note that unlike you, I labeled my speculation as speculation. Try it.)
Why are you repeating what I said? ...
Because part of what you said was accurate. I wanted to give you your gold star before moving on to the parts you invented.
Running a cord out and setting the alarm after being told not to draw attention to it is inexcusable. ...
Case in point. Pure speculation.
It's very possible to be accurate without being forthcoming and answering to their satisfaction. ...
Yes, it's certainly possible. I simply decline to treat your speculation as fact.
If they asked me why I brought it to school and
I answered like Ahmed did with "to tell time," then I am being a smart-alec.
You might note that this wasn't an actual quote of what he told the police, but a paraphrase he gave the press much later. I agree, if he answered "Why did you bring this to school?" with "To tell time," Mohamed was being a smart-aleck. If, on the other hand, the question was, "What's it for?", "To tell time" is a reasonable answer. I wasn't there to hear the actual questions and answers, and neither were you.
By the way, to those who continue to insist this was a hoax bomb and Mohamed deliberately did this or that to make it look suspicious, I offer this quote from your link:
"We found no evidence to support the perception that he intended to create alarm," [ Irving Police Chief Larry ] Boyd said.
Note this is an actual fact, not your speculation, supposition, and insinuation.
You've been provided with every link and ignored them already. ...
You're lying again. You're dodging because you know I'm able to use your links against you, highlighting the difference between your spin and what was actually reported.
