in the future the irving school district better not fuck up again. Ill bet the people paying property taxes in that shithole are gonna fire everyone.

In extreme cases such as this where the Students make claims against the school I am a firm believer in the right of school to wave the students records being sealed and publish exactly what led them to take the course of action they did.

Given what we know now, this seems pretty clearly about money and press coverage.

Can they not use said files in the civil case but just can't release them to the public (as in the files will be sealed in the civil case as well)? He sure got arrested based on the actions they took that day which leads me to believe that they told the cops.

not a lawyer so no idea what can/cannot be used, chances are this will just get settled for an big pile of money anyway.

My point is that they should be able to unseal the records whenever someone makes a claim such as this. We all are still working off of very limited information as who is to say there isn't more to this story.

Yeah, except you didn't keep the focus on that thread about zero tolerance nor did you bring it up in this thread originally. Your motives are completely transparent.

You misunderstand. I do blame zero tolerance for allowing the setup, but I blame the parents and the boy for exploiting it for personal gain. I blame them for playing the race card and I blame fuckwits like you for allowing them to do it.

Without zero tolerance this wouldn't have happened. Nor would it without people like you.

But that isn't really for us to decide? I'm sorry but I agree with keeping juvenile records sealed from the public. Why does the public need to know what his juvenile records are? The only people that need to know, imho, are the authorities, school and any courts involved. Those are the only people/entities that this information is pertinent to.

If something is made exploitable it will be exploited. That's just a fact of life. It's our job not to make things absurdly exploitable like the zero tolerance bullshit. I don't know if this is a setup or not but I don't blame people who sue schools when their kids are expelled and even arrested for the most bullshit of reasons, like a high school kid giving their friend an aspirin and equating that to selling her some cocaine. Bullshit is bullshit, the school and the police allowed themselves to be exploited, if they indeed intended to exploit them from the beginning.

So where is this "damage"? Didn't he move to Quatar BECAUSE he got a job offer there? Wow...what a "damage" this is.

Moving to Qatar and realizing how bad it sucks there, even compared to Texas, helped them to fully understand just how traumatic this experience was for little Bin Laden.

Now they want to come back and need some money to do it.

This is what society has signed up for. Look at people above "your friend deserved what he got". Really?

This type of shit is really unacceptable, but just a sign of the times when people are pussified. Look at the story of the woman getting arrested for letting her kid play 120' from her home.

They never arrested him over a bomb. They arrested him over a hoax bomb. They are two key distinctions that are lost on people without at least 3 neurons, which you so obviously lack even that. There was no racist intent, there was the law, and zero-tolerance policies. Thats it.

Nothing about it looked like a hoax bomb, as far as I've heard he never said anything about a bomb or made a bomb threat it was just a box that told time. If telling the time is the only thing required to call something a hoax bomb then just about every kid in the school should have been subjected to the same exact treatment.

From what I remember he had to plug the damn thing in for it to work, even in the movies you don't have to plug in a bomb.

Now if the kid put a couple of bricks of playdough inside with wires in them then I'd go along with the entire hoax bomb thing.

Anyone with 4 neurons to rub together knew that wasn't a bomb and unless he implied, said or threatened that it was I call bullshit on the hoax bomb thing. I can understand the English teachers caution but assuming the above is true there is no reason to believe that he intended for his clock to be perceived as a bomb. Except maybe his skin color or religion I guess in which case he has ample right to sue.

I whole heatedly agree with all of the above. Unfortunately it opens up everyone involved to severe civil liability, just like in this case. It gets kinda hard to blame the exploiter, if that is indeed what is truly happening here, when you've purposely and knowingly made yourself absurdly exploitable.

So you hate the Constitution now too?

I don't like this lawsuit either, but the right to file a complaint and petition a court for damages is guaranteed in the Constitution. And the act of doing so doesn't mean he's going to get a dime. But maybe, just maybe, the school shouldn't have been so stupid.

Pussified? Weren't you the bitch claiming the clock looked like a bomb? Instead of defending the kid from the moronic policy and the absurd over reaction you were the bitch talking shit about the kid whose psychic powers were so awesome that this whole thing was a setup from the beginning to get money and fame.

Be careful with your backtracking, I don't want you to get hurt tripping over yourself and your previous position. Trumps shtick may work on idiots like you where he can say one thing and then claim he was saying something else but it doesn't work on us and you sir are no trump so stop trying the same crap.

Qatar is a high income economy backed by the world's third largest natural gas reserves and oil reserves.[22] The country has the highest per capita income in the world, and has the second highest standard of living in the Middle East and the seventh highest in Asia. Qatar is an influential player in the Arab world, supporting several rebel groups during the Arab Spring both financially and through its globally expanding media group, Al Jazeera Media Network. For its size, Qatar wields disproportionate influence in the world, and has been identified as a middle power.[27][28]

It is my understanding that Quatar is a very rich country, it's ruled by Oil Sheiks.

It may well be that it sucks there like in some other M.E. nations, but I rather have an inkling that the brat and his family is sitting in some fancy hotel and lives high life right now, including free education sponsored by some wealthy sheiks, while his parents and the shadiest most expensive lawyers are figuring out a plan to milk millions. I am pretty confident the boy is not sitting in some shit-hole right now surrounded by camels and goats :)

Tell you what, they can arrest me and my entire family, put us in chains and drag us to jail for a week in exchange for $15 million dollars. I can pretend to be Muslim if necessary. Fuck I will even take a beatdown for that kind of jingle.

It also has strict sharia law, forced labor, flogging and many other things. Although, ironically, it is one of the more progressive gulf states. That said, it is still nothing more than a well-polished turd.

What's stopping you? Are you not smarter than a thirteen year old Muslim? Go ahead an create a plan where the outcome is the same, apparently it's pretty easy to do.

I would but some enterprising reporter would uncover my plot because I advertised it to all of ATT. Damn!

Is anyone honestly surprised? Just because the leftists on this forum said his father and sister's activism was no evidence this was pre-planned? Yeah good one.

This thread is full of tough boys, geeze. This is just one of many examples that's occurred so far in this thread alone and that AT - and P&N in particular - has become plagued with:

Pussified? Weren't you the bitch claiming the clock looked like a bomb? Instead of defending the kid from the moronic policy and the absurd over reaction you were the bitch talking shit about the kid whose psychic powers were so awesome that this whole thing was a setup from the beginning to get money and fame.

I realize this is just chest beating going back and forth amongst mainly teenage (I hope) boys and my comment really isn't about his actual opinion on anything, but the extremely juvenile and vile nature he goes about expressing it. Twice stating "weren't you the bitch" in the same post, and in response to something being called pussified, no wonder that this place has so few female members. And this is just one post from one member amongst many.

I hate to sound like I'm trying to be PC or that somehow I'm offended because assuredly I'm not, but it just strikes me as odd that the other message board I visit which is essentially a redneck filled college football forum has more maturity and class than this technology geared one.
