Give me a ballpark. Was it 6"? 1'?

Let's say the sidwalk was 1' above sealevel before. That means that sealevel raised 15" in 6 years.

Do you even understand what the fuck you are saying? Sealevel hasn't even raised 15" in 100 years.

Get the fuck outta here.
Well I told her that it was 8" and she fell for it....

Sure they do. Just like they love gang members and hate white males. It's why every single time there's a mass shooting, you guys say "ENOUGH!" but you don't give a fuck about every weekend in Chicago. Obama doesn't. Harry Reid doesn't. Pelosi doesn't.

If these had been white males, it would been the fault of white males.

If these had been black males, it would have been the fault of white males.

Since these are muslims, it is the fault of white males.

How do you fix the gun violence in Chicago?

You blame white men, of course. That'll fix everything. Disarm and mentally castrate/emasculate cisgendered white men and black men will just stop killing each other.

Gotta disband the white patriarchy. It'll all be better after that. Everybody will get along, nobody will try to kill each other. Nobody will try to take anybody else's possessions.

Fucking utopia.

Surely.

JS, the home has to be fixed 1st. eg, not happening....🙁

Keep in mind that there can be variations of the surface of Earth around the world. Did you know that Scandinavia is still rebounding after the ice age? Yes literally Scandinavia is still wound up from the downward pressure of glaciers, despite being relieved of those glaciers 10000 years ago. Scandinavia continues to rise every day, and will continue to do so for some time from now.

Wondering if this might have any similarities to the current sinking of Mexico City, or the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

No, just global warming. Don't confuse the poor fellow. He has vital indoctrination work to do.

Wonder how many idiotic people he has told about this massive ocean level raise.

Pretty sure some islands in Melanesia and the Indian Ocean have actually been affected by rising sea levels. The Earth is not perfectly round, really more shaped like an egg. And the sea is not flat. If you did not know literally the whole "world ocean" gets pushed and pulled around every day by the gravity of our moon.

No, WE do not make that choice. It is way more complex than that and it is something "we" continue to argue about. Regardless, the facts on the ground in this country are such that gun banning would probably cause more violence than it prevents.

You can try to change the hearts and minds of the people who "value the ideal of gun ownership." Good luck with that. But right here and now, if we tried to collect these firearms you'd see about 50 more WACO's and Ruby Ridges. We are already fractured both culutrally and politically in this country. Turning the ideological divide into a violent struggle is not a good idea.
It's not complicated to people like him, because other people aren't real. He wants to destroy one G-d given right, so the prospect of destroying the rest toward that end is hardly a bump in the road. The end justifies the means, and even if the end doesn't work out, his good intentions offset any evil he'll do in their pursuit.

Minus the bride that description sounds like a redneck from West Va. My only point let's wait until link of radicalism in show before drawing conclusions.
Man, you hate'em white boys. Even when Muslims commit mass murder, you never lose sight of the real target.

I'm less interested in the gun issue at the moment. I'd been a fence-sitter about greater regulation of arms like the AR-15 in recent years.

I'm more interested in thinking of ways to defeat ISIS without spending a lot of money and lives. Or -- bringing down the house on ourselves and the world through miscalculation -- something the terrorists would like to see.

For starters -- all of those people are aberrant f***-nuts crazy, and the world needs to see it. Nuremberg-type trials. MSNBC "Lock-Up: Gitmo" with episodes like "Baghdadi skips his meds."

The whole point of it would include as follows. They advocate slavery, sexual abuse, oppression of women and all kinds of other things that would've found a home in the world 500 years ago. There is nothing there to negotiate, nothing to compromise.

And it's just a backwards ridiculous belief-system which perverts a holy book to its purpose.
Careful! According to some here, pointing out all that is why they have to kill us.

Goes to show you how much I know about guns! But I heard this on the radio this morning so I thought I would pass it along.

They don't allow people with guns of the 86th floor of the Empire State Building -- or so I'm told.

Having grown up in NY, upstate NY, I purchased and owned two guns as a resident of the Empire State, but as difficult as they make owning handguns in NY owning rifles isn't so hard -- or at least it wasn't while I lived there.

Or was that before Iraq invaded Kuwait?
Well, to progressives that too was our fault. He only invaded Kuwait because Bush I told him it was okay.

Dude, you cannot possibly be expecting him to do math.

As are the Great Lakes region!

"We don't know why they did it"

“We don't know why they did it,” he said. “We don’t know at this point the extent of their plans. We do not know their motivations … it is possible that this was terrorist-related. But we don’t know. It’s also possible that this was workplace-related.”

Heard the sound clip on the way home today on NPR, blew my mind. Pipe bombs, AK's, Saudi wife, in touch with known international terrorists. Definitely the possibility this is a workplace related dispute.

Anyone think he delegitimizes what could be an opportunity for a frank discussion on gun control by pushing this crap? No one in their right mind thinks this was work related, or the new spin is that maybe he was offended by a Christmas party. If you can't be honest about this then how can there be honest discussion about needed reform in gun control laws?

And why is he so damned concerned about the very idea of a terrorist attack on his watch? Benghazi and this, why can't he just call it for what it is? I don't think anyone (other than Republican candidates) faults him because a terrorist attack happened while he's in office, but what we do fault him for is treating us like idiots and lying to our face.

I dont know about you but when I get into an argument at work the first thing I do is go home, grab my pipe bombs, my crazy sharia law wife, my AK-47s, my bulletproof vests, and go on a murderous rampage in my SUV.

Obama is an idiot.

Well, think about it. Robert Dear didn't make his Hajj to Mecca. People react with fear to these events, and the kneejerk reaction is to call for some -- any - kind of action. But that's the successful reaction to terror -- successful for the terrorist. "Any kind of action" to satisfy the anxious public could be the wrong action, and we've been there before.

I think the Pres is determined to avoid succumbing to "Bush war fever."

So what is a terrorist, and what is a terrorist attack? In order to "do something," you have to trace causality to specific individuals within ISIS. And regardless of that, putting in 100,000 troops to the Syrian meatgrinder isn't going to stop affiliated terrorists from posting more propaganda to lure more disturbed people to their cause.

Farook and Malik didn't have the bomb-making knowledge or capability that had become signature for Al Qaeda and the Paris killers. Officers said the pipe bombs were a greater risk to the maker, were hard to detonate properly, and might likely fail.

Meanwhile, I see that Farook's family history has been unraveled. He came from an abusive home; his mother had charged that his father had thrown a TV set on top of her.

There are all sorts of angles to this, and the political backlash broadcast everywhere by the 2016 presidential challengers is getting a good laugh over in Syrian ISIS headquarters.

It's just what they want. It makes them feel like they're "Masters of the Universe," able to steer American elections after knocking down tall buildings faster than a speeding bullet.

What are you talking about? The media immediately judges Muslim terrorists as religiously-inspired. It's only when someone shoots up a Planned Parenthood that they decide to "withhold until all the facts are in".

Weird, I must have been following different news coverage than you during the planned parenthood and California shootings.

In all things, there is a sieve of possibilities, and to each hole in the sieve, we can attach a probability in the range 0 <= P <= 1.

Among competing "suspects" for shooting people at Planned Parenthood, Muslim extremists rate a lower probability than a home-grown, bible-thumping Killer of Righteousness.

And, after all, anyone with their head screwed on right would immediately think of the Fiorina harangues and other stories of "Parts is parts."

In the latest episode, I first heard "It was three white guys." Next I heard they'd driven to a Target store, then somebody said "they went to a third location."

Now we know a lot more than we did the other day.

Obama wants his legacy to be:

I got us out of Iraq
I'm getting us out of Afghanistan
I'm closing Gitmo
I killed Bin Ladin, Al Qaida is on the run
I freed Libya from Ghadafi
I helped usher in the Arab Spring
ISIS is the contained JV team
My apologizing for all of the US's evils has made the third world love us again
All the above has kept the US free of terrorist attacks
Look how awesome I am!!!

There's your answer as to why he won't call it like it is.

We create what we fear. Call a man a terrorist long enough and he just might become one. Not saying that is what happened here, but it's always a possibility.
I agree and I think we have all seen it many times, the law of equal and opposite reaction applies socially as it does in physics.

That is why I am weary of extremes on BOTH sides as it pushes people further and further to each end and then it becomes perpetual. I don't like Isolationists or SJW's they keep each other fed and running strong.
If there is any truth to this report then it is even more likely that this is what happened.

Kuuleme Stephens said she happened to call Nicholas Thalasinos while her friend was talking with Farook at work. She said Thalasinos, a Messianic Jew who was passionately pro-Israel, told her Farook "doesn't agree that Islam is not a peaceful religion." Stephens said Farook replied that Americans don't understand Islam.
Way to prove your point there, Farook. Damage the name of the religion you love.
