I feel like with olives, one must first accept black olives. Those are much easier on the tongue, and good! For me, it went on the pizzas, tacos, etc, and at some point I realized they were pretty good! From there, green olives pretty much become acquired. 😛

I really have been working on this, I have a few black olives a week. They are intense, slightly odd and salty as shiz, but I don't hate them anymore.
 
I used to not like beer, so yeah.. I somehow acquired the taste. I later refined my taste through experimentation on different types.
