Don't try arguing with him. His views on what is or isn't something are...interesting. To say the least. Just ask him about beans in chili.

I will stick by the beans in chili thing forever! My favorite part about it is everyone thinks I hate beans with Chili, I actually quite enjoy beans.

I agree beans don't belong in chili, but their addition does not necessarily mean bad chili.

60% is about my cutoff. I've got some 60% that's mixed in with espresso and it's great with coffee. I got some 72% stuff with a little mint in it for Christmas and it's inedible IMHO. Waaaay too bitter for my taste.

Why do people claim their shitty expensive wine is an acquired taste? I've never seen someone give chocolate to a child and say chocolate is an acquired taste. Coca Cola is not an acquired taste either. People try them and love them right away. Acquired taste is admitting that you know it sucks but you drink it anyway.

look how dumb you are.

Except people keep replying that chili without beans is just red sauce, even though they've obviously never had a decent chili before. I need to win the lottery so I can make some fucking chili and send it to all you guys so you can see wtf I'm talking about.

I used to absolutely abhor olives. Now I absolutely love them.

every time I'm presented with olives I try one to see if I've acquired the taste. I've probably eaten 30+ olives and nope, no dice.

100% is way too much.

100% That's pretty hardcore. I could see it being good with coffee or something, but not to just eat. ~85% is about the highest I go with chocolate.

Yeah it was nice to try and they did get me a load of more palatable stuff as well.

There was some awesome combination of dark chocolate with chilli in surrounding a kirsch cherry centre. That was probably the best.

I have smoked a lot of foreign tobacco, I find American Spirits to be better, although my favorite I've smoked are Chinese. My co-worker got some smokes that are for government officials in China, they were embossed with gold and each had their own serial number. Incredibly strong nicotine wise, full flavor although incredibly smooth. I'm also a fan of Turkish tobacco, but like I said I prefer American Spirits.

Its fine to have a favourite, but to right everything else off and just have that is a bit sad. I'd hate to drink the same beer every day, or the same wine, or the same wome... [looks behind him to see if the wife is there]...n.

I've had fun exploring dark chocolate. My daughter's diabetic, so she gets dark chocolate for xmas and stuff. I've always gotten her interesting treats from around the world, cause holiday candy should be special. Now I have to be a little more particular. With dark chocolate, she can have something that tastes awesome, but has reasonable carb amounts. I don't get her diet anything. Small amounts of something delicious is better than all the crap you can eat :^D

Chili chocolate, and pear chocolate have probably been my favorites, but it's hard to beat chocolate covered espresso beans :^)

I have never written off tobacco from anywhere in the world. Tobacco is actually something I enjoy immensely. Like I said I've smoked tobacco from all over the world and my favorite is American Spirits. I've pretty much quit smoking, no urges etc and really only have one every now and then with my co-worker. Last cig I smoked with a Triple 5, which are his favorite.

Ever smoke Double Happiness? They're like literally a dollar a pack in China, more comparable to a Marlboro Red but better flavor imo.

milk chocolate is not chocolate it's a form of chocolate and the semantics matter, that's why they can't advertise it as chocolate. btw not that I have much issue with you Perknose, but you really want to rag on the knowledge and intelligence of the OT poster yet you post garbage like your "breaking story" thread in P&N? Please....

Complete and utter FAIL.

Milk chocolate can and IS advertised as chocolate. Please acquire some level of reading comprehension and then go read and try to understand WHY Hershey's had to cease advertising some of its milk chocolate products as chocolate.

The answers were posted right in this thread, in direct response to your posted misapprehension!!

Post #81:
Hershey's changed their recipes a few years ago, replacing cocoa butter with vegetable oil on a few of their candies (not for regular Hershey bars). The reformulated ones can't be called "chocolate," just "chocolatey."
Post #82:

The removal of cocoa butter violates the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s definition of milk chocolate, so subtle changes have appeared on the labels of the Hershey’s products with altered recipes. Products once labeled “milk chocolate” now say “chocolate candy,” “made with chocolate” or “chocolatey.”
I am sick and tired of having to spoon feed ADD idiot posters like you the OBVIOUS.

Furthermore, my P&N thread that you reference was an effing legitimate news story, and a twerp such as you comparing it to the incredible basic ignorance demonstrated daily in OT pegs you as part of the damn problem.

Your critical thinking deficit combined with your embarrassing reading comprehension problem does not paint a pretty picture.

Please point out where I said they should still be able to call it chocolate because I never said anything of the sort. Nor do you have to point out why they can't call it chocolate as SOMEONE ALREADY LINKED AN ARTICLE THAT I READ AND COMMENTED ON. I'm arguing SEMANTICS of using the term milk chocolate and chocolate. milk chocolate is milk chocolate, it contains milk and chocolate.

Yeah, laugh, but by your dimbulb logic, chocolate milk isn't milk because it has an added ingredient, milk.

Allow me to quote your own idiot logic to you, for yet another time:

milk chocolate is not chocolate it's a form of chocolate and the semantics matter, that's why they can't advertise it as chocolate.
You posted this AFTER several posters patiently linked to articles that explained the real reason Hershey's can no longer call some of their milk chocolate products chocolate. It's not because milk chocolate has milk in it -- something you still show no signs of comprehending!

Chocolate milk is nevertheless milk, just as milk chocolate is nevertheless chocolate, which was Brigandier's point to you, a point that went WHOOSH right over your head, lol boy.

You're just not that bright, are you?

chocolate milk is chocolate milk... how the fuck do YOU not comprehend that? it ceased being solely milk and while milk is an ingredient, chocolate milk is NOT milk, but chocolate milk. It's quite simple.

I feel like with olives, one must first accept black olives. Those are much easier on the tongue, and good! For me, it went on the pizzas, tacos, etc, and at some point I realized they were pretty good! From there, green olives pretty much become acquired. :p

I have friends who HATE black olives, but love green olives. I don't get it, I love all olives not to mention pepperoni, black olives and roasted garlic is my favorite pizza topping.
