memtest86 passed 5 hours looping @ 165fsb 3:4 441ddr cas2-5-3-2 😀

3:4 finally beats 4:5 in benchies....

the final results....
Memtest86 (all 11 tests, looping for 5 hours)
Cas2-5-2-2 (4:5) passed upto 165fsb 414ddr
Cas2-5-2-2 (3:4) passed upto 160fsb 427ddr
Cas2-5-3-2 (3:4) passed upto 165fsb 441ddr

Awesome bud, wow! 🙂 gonna keep 165fsb 3:4 441ddr cas2-5-3-2?

...and about the different forum, it still feels weird clicking on "Motherboards", can we go home now? 😉😀😕

if it passes prime95 i will be keeping the 441ddr cas2532.
(benchies just barely squeeked past the 4:5 414ddr cas2522 benchies)

i know Mikki i know ~ but this is a motherboard thread 😛 😉 🙂

<EDIT> and besides ~ there is NOTHING going on in the OC forum right now 😉

This is a motherboard thread?! What was I thinking? I thought it was a "Thugsrook Overclocking Thread"!! .........hehe 😕😛😀

yes i did.
64T only flip flopped my benchies around, some better some worse, no conclusive result ~ i just left it on 32T.
the settings listed in the main post gave me (and still give me) "best performance".

i played around with everything in the bios except for 1 thing (that i have yet to identify)

🙂

Let me rephrase the question ?

When will you get a GB board & a 2.53+ C1 processor, no doubt you'll amaze us all w/ a 3Ghz+ oc ? 😉

Regards,
Jose

Thugs: Great work. I am buying this board if you can confirm > DDR400 with 2 512MB sticks. I have C3200 C2 512MB chips waiting for the right motherboard. My chip a 1.6A will do 160FSB at 1.6V.

A difficult choice between the BE7-RAID and EPOX 4PEA+.

well...i am pretty sure about the p4b533 asus board has it's limitation after more testing...
thugsrook is right...with 3:4 the board can't hit near 166fsb...highest attainable stable speed would be 163fsb 434ddr...
now i have been thinking much of the ABIT IT7Max2 v2.0...but don't have the bling bling for it at the moment...i guess i will still have to bare with 1:1 ratio @171fsb

165fsb 3:4 441ddr cas2-5-3-2 is NOT prime95 stable so back to 4:5 414ddr c2522 for me 🙂

i will be getting a Granite Bay.
i will not be getting 2.53 cpu ~ im not interested in a 19x cpu or HT at all.

a 40mm fan dropped moboard temps 2*c
as2 did nothing
which leads me to believe it isnt a chip temp, but rather just a board temp.....somewhere.

🙂

the Abit GB7 (Granite Bay) for those that havnt seen it yet.
Pictured above is ABIT's Granite Bay motherboard, dubbed the GB7. ABIT is still very much pushing the MAX series, and we are quite happy to see this dedication to MAX. Expect reviews of ABIT's 845PE and Granite Bay motherboards in the next few weeks.

In the PIC it looks like the ram slots are right next to where the Video card would be.... 🙁

yes, correction ~ with a little research ive figured out that pic is the GB7 Ultra ~ which is the IT7 equivilant.
(its fully loaded)

BTW: i think we have officially invaded the moboard forum (sorry guys!) 😉
