Are you kiddin'? this place needed a good enema 🙂

i havnt posted anything in this room since the P4S333 threads...

anywho~
2 sticks of 256mb XMS3000 are now installed. gonna see how far this board can go with them.
*please note im using slots 1+3. currently @ 165fsb 1:1 330ddr cas2522 2.65v. (ill make a chart for the main post)
memtest86'ing will be limited to all 11tests / 2loops (or this could take forever to complete)

<EDIT> actually forget memtest86 - 3DMark2000 will tell me what i need to know in 6 minutes 😉

TESTING W/ 2 STICKS OF RAM
2.65v vdimm
CAS 2-5-2-2
slots 1+3 (slots 1+2 didnt do too well)
2x 256mb XMS3000

1:1 = passed 165fsb 330ddr 😀
4:5 = passed 165fsb 414ddr 😀
3:4 = passed 158fsb 421ddr 🙁 (lost 2fsb)

:Q :Q :Q

PJ? 😉

im gonna prime95 and memtest86 my speed of course 😉

but if it can run 3dmark2000 its probably good 😀 ....so im not gonna do it right away. got more tweakin to do 😉

Cool. 🙂
Does that mean you're gonna run benchies as well? Interested in the performance difference on this board...😉

already ran benchies! ~ no performance difference using 2 sticks of ram on this board (for me anyways)

😀

*i think PJ will also be testing 2 sticks of 512mb XMS on his BE7

So we've got one heck of a memory controller on one heck of a board...😀

Wish we could compare your results with a non-Intel chipset...😉

weve been bytchin bout the mem controller since the original i845 sdram boards ~ it slowly got better with the D E and G boards, but now theyve finally got it right with the PE 😀

WHOO hooo! Looking good THugs! 😉
My board is due to arrive today. I may not be able to wait until T-Day to start this project!

Thugs:

You are amazing, the 2 stick test is what I was waiting for. Well pulled the trigger on this board. My T-DAY project is well underway.

PosterJay: I have 1G of Corsair XMS 512MBC2. I am very interested in what you find.

Thanks, Sri

I will post my results as soon as I can. It will be in another thread though, so this one does not get corrupted. THugs did too good a job for me to mess it up!! Hopefully will get to work on it tonight!

yea sorry it took so long for me to get to the 2 stick tests, but i didnt want to change the system config til i finished up all that testing. was well worth the wait tho ~ im amazed :Q

the i845 has FINALLY made it upto i440bx standards! 😀

thx dbw 🙂

i attempted to run some tests on IAA...
~the system barely runs w/o it
~v2.2 aint so great
~v2.2.2 seems to do the best job

...at least on win98se 😉

Ok, you convinced me! Just ordered the BE7 and the Alpha 8942. Hopefully this C1 1.8A will get a little sweeter with the new setup! Thanks Thugs - you da man.

Did you get the C1 1.8a from dell?

I think I might get the BE7 too unless GB boards drops below $140 before mid december which is very unlikely I think.
