Hey, FinalFantasy.

You try mine, I'll try yours.

Deal?

- M4H

He has to try mine first!

If he tries mine first, I can not only make him do it, but make him like it.

- M4H

Who knows, he might like mine too!

Yeah, but I could work a Starter Kit sized Demon Tongue in the works for him. That could only benefit your test. :D

I know that not all of you have an open heart to accept God, and that is okay, but I know I will help one person on here to "wake up" and change their life...you think yours will not? Prove me and prove God wrong or forever hold your peace, but I know God WILL REACH SOMEBODY THAT READS THIS.

Hey, FinalFantasy, you know what my final fantasy is? That you'll shut the fvck up.

Why the hostility? You don't have to read the thread and you don't have to participate. There's no reason for you to be so angry.

Using the same logic - you didn't have to read the reply nor retort to said reply, y'know.

I wouldn't call it a retort. I'm honestly curious. His reactions (*raises middle finger* and "That you'll shut the f up") are super extreme given the benign nature of the original post. This guy (OP) offered a chance to try something new and it seems like ignoring it is bit more reasonable than *raises middle finger*. What is there to get so riled up about?

Benign? Maybe it's benign if you've been brainwas . . . "believe" it beforehand, but this is pretty damn invasive for most people.

The nature of the original post is really not so benign.

When people have an "Us" against "Them" mentality.... when people believe that belonging to one club or the other makes them 'saved', 'chosen', or otherwise superior... that's when some of us start becoming very uncomfortable.

I am very sorry that I came across that way and I apologize. I really did not mean to turn this into a religious discussion, but rather have it for a few people, if any at all, to try something new in their life and maybe "better it" because they are in their own way able to benefit and learn from the Bible and it's (God's) teachings. I put the blame of this thread "getting out of hand" squarely upon my shoulders for not convey my point clearly enough (I have a bad habit of doing this  ) , but it is my firm belief and faith that someone asked God into their heart tonight and will benefit from this thread have being started.

Have a good night and I hope we all learned at least something good/bad from this and have grown up a little bit?

If people want to seek out religious salvation, they'll do it on their own. What is it about you people that you can't just leave us alone? Sheesh...

for the thread creator

finalfantasy, the internet(these forums in particular) is not the best place to be evangelizing imho and what you asked of them is a bit much. heh. with the veil of anonymity the internet gives, people take off the gloves of civility and "openmindedness" they usually wear during interactions in the outside world. you can see people's true character throughout this thread when they hear what they don't like or don't agree with, in this case the message of Jesus. they call you names, hurl insults, profane the name of God without second thought, why? because you are not one of them and the suggestion of them needing a saviour offends them. they no longer try to have a levelheaded civil discussion once God or Jesus is mentioned, people of different beliefs, values, and backgrounds that usually don't get along all come together to attack you united.

i know your good intentions in trying so hard to change people, but remember that your job is to plant the seed. God is the one that changes people, do not be discouraged if this ministry does not immediately bear fruit. fight the good fight. :)

Let me explain something. I understand why you feel the need to "witness" but an internet forum is simply not a place you are going to convert anyone. I went to church for 18 years, so I know where you are coming from, but most of us don't like having it in our face. Sadly, I worship satan these days(kidding). I don't go to church anymore, and it was mainly due to pushy people. *hint* *hint*

I believe there was a Jesus Christ, and he died to save everyone's soul to forgive them of their sins. But he was a delusional lunatic. So I read your prayers, and I felt nothing.
