Actually, yes I have been to Brooklyn - born and raised in NYC. I have family in Brooklyn, my mother was born there. Feel free to keep claiming the rise in hate crimes are all due to anti-Trumpers.

What is disturbing is that Trump's victory seems to have empowered the lowest scum to celebrate. I hope the president elect uses his platform to cool tensions instead of tweeting more about mean people on sketch comedy shows.

It has also empowered a lot of hoaxes. Some of them relatively high profile. There a lot of assholes on both sides, bu as scott foval said, republicans play by the rules and Democrats don't. That's why democrats get away with birddogging.

I don't generally spend my days counting neo-nazis, haha.

There are plenty of angry white racists in Brooklyn (hello, south Brooklyn!) and the idea that they wouldn't go to lily white, high income Brooklyn Heights for some reason is beyond stupid. I have no idea who defaced that park but your reasons for declaring that neo-nazis wouldn't do it wouldn't pass muster to anyone who has ever actually set foot in Brooklyn Heights.

Your logic is that because that area is highly democratic it can't be a Trump supporter. I just proved to you that if you want to play the numbers gave you lose. NYC is highly democratic but because of it's super high population, there are more Trump supporters in NYC than in most other parts of the country. So that argument is just not holding water. There are plenty of Trumpists to draw from. Over 2 million in fact, in a relatively smaller geographic area that is the 5 boroughs.

No the logic to me is that most people who live in that environment are fine with diversity. That somebody would seek out that park and graffiti shitty swastikas, is like not a trump supporter. Instead, it is far more likely it is a leftist who wants to further the idiotic notion trump and most of his supporters are anti semitic.

You have absolutely no proof it was a trump supporter. None. Just like the hillary allied splc had no proof bannon was anti semitic, but that didn't stop them from furthering bigoted lies, which they backed down from.

I find it interesting that despite all of these supposed hate crimes, very few I'd any, have been proven to be caused by a Trump supporter, if they even occurred at all. Yet we see time and again the hoaxes and lies.

A lot of people associate my care or my profession with attitudes they have but need some justification for. Doesn't mean I agree or have given them reason to make such associations. Of course, I do post here in transparency of my occupation, so I might have to examine that stance further.

You'd like to think that urban residents in diverse areas would be fine with diversity, and many are - hence why most major urban areas lean heavily Democrat/Progressive. But there is still plenty of discord. There have been racial tensions and plenty of LGBT tensions in NYC, sexual assaults and murders. One could even speculate that by being a Trump supporter in such a diverse area may make you even more hardcore about it. For some that diversity in their face at all times creates an even stronger resentment.

I don't have any proof that this particular instance was perpetrated by a Trump supporter or someone else. Nobody has been caught. But the statement is pro Trump, and just like when a Trump campaign facility was attacked, even though nobody was caught and there was no proof, it was by default assumed to be Democrats.

Then the rest of your post just goes to show you have zero logic. Out of the hundreds of hate crime related incidents the vast majority is part of some liberal plan to set all these things up and frame Trumpists. That's completely asinine. That's a way more farfetched conclusion than assuming the opposite. It's totally insane really.

The fact is the alt-right and white nationalists were emboldened by the rhetoric of your hero's campaign. It was evident at his rallies and it was evident on the internet - all over the place. It's really not a stretch of the imagination to come to the conclusion that a Trump victory emboldened a lot of those very same people. This is a logical result of what you do when you cater to those types of groups, they come out to play. That makes far more sense than anything coming out of your mind that's for shit sure.

Also, why is racism worse than any other human sin? Seems like racism is the most targeted flaw that is covered now. Far more than anything else.

Does it make us feel guilty? Does it remind us that we might also have some biased and warped views?

Racism is the view that people of a given melanin concentration are inferior; subhuman. From there, it's only a small step to view them as animals. And from there, it's only a sidestep to excuse heinous acts against them.

For example, viewing all Vietnamese civilians as Viet Cong, free for the raping, with a nice little name to go with them; beloved patriot, and Zipperhead.

Someone who isn't racist, who views human beings as equals, regardless of how varied their skin pigment is, I'd wager to not be remotely willing to engage in the above. People who are racists, however? American history is full of that. See the genocide of Native Americans for a blatant example.
