Ehh ... I think the world would be MUCH better off if there weren't advertisements targeted at children.....

I don't think that the toys need to be removed from happy meals, but I think that it should be unlawful for anybody under 18 to be exposed to any sort of paid advertisement.... Impossible to implement, I know, but, a world without any marketing or advertising would be an awesome place to live!!!

It really doesn't surprise me. A local store had a fight while I was in line the other day . A mother had gotten two plastic bowls instead of one. The cashier explained that the promotion was one free bowl per box of cereal. The little girl in the cart started crying when her mother gave one of the bowls to the cashier, so the woman snatched the bowl back and then the woman said that she would just take the bowls anyway. The cashier said she couldn't and would need to get the manager. They started arguing and in a split second the two women started fighting, requiring the police.

No, the worst part is when they tell you to get a switch off of a tree and you walk out the door into an entire apple orchard. Belts are for sissies with their wide "strappiness" and soft supple materials. BAH!

Then you start to think, do I pick a switch from a Red Delicious, Braeburn, Granny, or Yellow Delicious tree?

When I read things like this, I wonder why doesn't someone, like the judge just say fuck you. You are wrong, oh and I'm taking away your child because you're an unfit parent. No court dates, I've already filed the paper work, now go die in a fire.

It's like everyone at every step of this process is just standing and nodding thier heads. Why doesn't some just say you know what, FUCK YOU WHORE.

That is one of the flaws with founding of this country. The people that created it had common sense and never could have imagined the idiotic things that would occur so they didn't bother to include provision against it. I can imagine what they would say now " We need to create laws to stop people from doing what their toddler tells them to ?, your joking right ?"

I was a hard learner. It took repeated reminders across my backside at various points in my childhood for me to learn things.
 
This is one of those groups that abuse the court system in an attempt to push their agenda. They dont like what you do as a corporation or person? Sue them on something frivilous. A lot of times it causes the desired results. In this case McDonalds has deep pockets and has to fight this or they risk the chance of setting precedent about their product.
