It really doesn't surprise me. A local store had a fight while I was in line the other day . A mother had gotten two plastic bowls instead of one. The cashier explained that the promotion was one free bowl per box of cereal. The little girl in the cart started crying when her mother gave one of the bowls to the cashier, so the woman snatched the bowl back and then the woman said that she would just take the bowls anyway. The cashier said she couldn't and would need to get the manager. They started arguing and in a split second the two women started fighting, requiring the police.

She'd rather be a thief than tell her kid "No.", amazing.

When I don't get my free TV, I go home and beat the shit out of my wife and kids. If you don't let me have the TV for free, it means you hate children.

If only someone had used one of these on Ms. Parham, this could all have been avoided. :ninja:

Passed laws against happy meals? Why would anyone live in a place that banned things on a whim like NY and California. This whole country is going down the shitter.

When California is the only one contributing more to the Feds than we get in return and our state has 1/10th the population it's a little more important than yours. That's why this shit needs to get stopped in it's tracks here. If it happens here or NY it gets everywhere else eventually.

My guess is that Happy Meals are probably roughly the same or better health-wise than the absolute dog shit served in most school cafeterias. One day I will be less lazy and actually do enough research to know whether this is true, but I find it hard to believe it isn't better than the average school lunch without a latitudinal review of school lunches.

So, you want the solution here? My mom always told us to get the hell out of the house and go do something and we did. Sure, we had Atari and Nintendo growing up and we played that too. What we played more of was outside, namely, football, basketball, riding bikes, etc.

PS - If I were the judge, I would say exactly this, slam the gavel on the bench and finish with a flourish by saying "Now get the fuck out of my house! Go outside and play!"

My older brother and me would load up or .22 rifles and walk for miles. We hated being in side growing up because 1. We only had one TV channel to watch and 2. We only had one fucking TV channel to watch!

Kids these days have way to many options for entertainment that involve sitting on the couch. Granted some things try to get kids physically active (Wii) but mostly it's computer/console/TV.

Ummm... without getting to ATP&N here, CA is one of SEVENTEEN states that contribute more to the Feds than they get in return.
