No, Ms is appropriate for any woman regardless of marital status.

The reason he's identifying her in that manner, particularly the use of Bill's name instead of her own, is to diminish her from being an individual in her own right. He's trying to be clever. I'm guessing he picked it up from a chain email or some such.

I think the argument is more apt for trump supporters who are statistical less educated. The theory argues that the skills/knowledge necessary to produce right answers (or select the politician best suited for you) are the same skills/knowledge needed to even recognize how well or poorly you are as a decision maker in regards to that test.

When tested formally in general the more incompetent the person was at the test, the more they overestimated their abilities in regards to the test itself (the theory also established that people who are highly competent tend to underestimate their competence compared to others)

The Dilbert principle is interesting in that it argues that people who are incompetent and don't know it get promoted to management to get them out of the way of really doing harm to their company (taking them out of positions where incompetence really hurts). Both theories basically argue that people who are incompetent at something often don't realize how incompetent they are.

I've been watching Trump supporters on YouTube, and I am worried for this country.
I hope we are at peak stupidity now and these people will be slowly displaced by more educated new generations. But right now is a scary time where we are a step away from slipping into Idiocracy.
 
the trump supporters were the teaparty just 4 years ago. And they were the religious right before that. They arent going away. They are becoming more and more extreme.

I don't think they're becoming more extreme per se, just more comfortable publicly displaying that old fashioned bigoted faith again after it became unfashionable for a while. It's not as if there used to be less resentment towards minorities/women.
