No offense, but it seems like you are going through what every other college freshman goes through.
homesick.
No buck up, dump that baggage and find some strange!
None taken...
Just trying to sort through what the problem is. It's not as simple as "I miss home." Actually, that's not what I'm thinking at all.
Yes it is. You miss your comfort zone, your routine. That may not be home persay, but same concept.
True. But I'm very open to a new routine. I just wish that routine encompassed things off this campus!
I do love going home for the weekend, but my main reason for that is to see my girlfriend and to go out into town with her. I guess that's the routine I'm really missing.

I guess it's also worse because I'm attached to someone at home who I'm missing greatly.
Can I offer you a piece of advice that I didn't listen to when I was in college but SEVERELY wish I had?
Cut any emotional ties you may have to some girl back home. I know that's a lot easier said than done, but it's the only way you'll truly get to appreciate college and everything this very unique part of your life has to offer. Unless she's pregant with your baby, you'll be glad you did it years down the road. You'll have a lot more fun now and you'll have more experiences from which to draw upon later.
Trust me.
I appreciate your advice but there are many opinions of the situation. There ARE relationships that last from high school all through college. How do I know this won't be one of them? I can't throw such a good thing away because I'm assuming it'll fail later and I'll have more fun now. I have what people hope to have one day when they start dating someone, almost 3 years of building and improving and growing stronger with each other. I can't just toss that away.
