We've already got a lot of 'centrists'.
Centrists if you are falling off a cliff. Al Gore is a leftist. Kerry was a leftist. And DEFINITELY Hilary Clinton is a leftist. As time has gone on the definition of Moderate has moved farther and farther to the left... But again it shows the kind of behavior from the left. Hurling insults is the only way because the left has no answers. So they crank up their NPR and pretend not to hear the rest America. Last time I checked the conservatives are in the majority in both houses which means you are WRONG. What part of the American people spoke and despite your best efforts you lost do you not get? I guess if I were in your shoes and I was doomed to lose every presidential election I'd be bitter too. You will lose again in 2008 because you have no candidate.
Funny how the whiny minority has the biggest voice on this board. Oh, wait. I forgot. You are all superior to all of the conservatives intellectually right? I am glad to hear the insults. Bring it on...
😎 Because he who laughs LAST laughs BEST. And right now the conservatives are laughing and will be laughing for a LONG time...
Wow....where to even begin with this post?
Gore, Kerry and Clinton are lefties. That must have taken you a while to figure that one out. Now, let me let you in on a little secret......Kerry and Clinton are closer to the middle than Bush, Cheney, Frist, Santorum, Gingrich and just about every other candidate that the right has. Oh, and please don't try to correct the Bush and Cheney part. I know Bush can't run and Cheney can't win so he won't run. They are there because they are in power now.
You are pretty amazing in your hypocrisy. You tell others to not through insults around in the same sentence that you are doing just that. Simply amazing.
Let's address what you thought was a funny little quip, shall we?

Now, I am assuming that you mean from an ideological perspective here, right? Because after all, listeners of NPR and the Daily Show rated the highest amongst those surveyed of current events. Conversely, Fox News and the rabid right radio listeners were rated at the bottom. So you couldn't have possibly meant that they were stupid for listening. Maybe you were referring to the way that right wing radio is able to consistantly lie and mislead their listeners and still have them believe it is true because they are using the proper buzz words? In either event, it was a horrible statement to make and think that it was insulting. It shows one of two things, you are not as smart as you think that you are....or you are one of the misled folks that listens to the right wingers and doesn't do any fact checking to see if what you are being spoon fed is accurate. In either event, you have my sympathy.
Last time I checked the conservatives are in the majority in both houses which means you are WRONG.
Wrong about what? All this means is that the Republicans have been able to energize more voters to get to the polls than the Dems. It is, in no way, shape or form, indicitive of being right. If you look at the number of registered voters that did not vote, you will see that winning != having everyone believe that you are the better choice.
You have had only one president in 20 YEARS. This means you are WRONG.
And under that one president, we experienced peace and the greatest economic boom ever. WOW, if only we could be wrong all of the time. Under the three Republican presidents in the last twenty years, we have had the highest deficits, unemployment was horrendous under two and rose under the third also. We have fought four wars and experienced government scandals repeatedly.
What part of the American people spoke and despite your best efforts you lost do you not get? I guess if I were in your shoes and I was doomed to lose every presidential election I'd be bitter too. You will lose again in 2008 because you have no candidate.
You are partially right here. They did loose. But it wasn't because ALL of the American people wanted Bush and the rest of the Repubs. It was because a majority of those that haven't already become apathetic to the process chose. Now, if you notice what has happened lately, you (the right wing) are alienating more and more of the population. What that might mean is that the Dems might not need a better person to be the candidate in a particular race, they just need someone that is able to effectively communicate the shortfalls of their Republican opponent. You know, take a page out of the Republican playbook. They have gotten lesser candidates selected for the last decade because of the way they say things....not the substance of what they say.

Once again, you protest insults while insulting in return. I want to make a wager with you. I will bet you $100 that the Dems win the midterms in '06. We can put the money in some sort of escrow account so you know that I am good for it and you do the same. The Repubs are power-drunk. They have abused the power that they have been given and have not taken advantage of the majority that they have to do anything of substance for the American middle and lower classes. They have consistantly repaid all of their campaign donors though. Unfortunately, there are a whole lot more of the former than the latter. I believe that the Dems will continue to reshape their message and expose the Republican leaders for what they are....hollow souls making promises that they have no intent on keeping.
