A Friend of Mine was Arrested. UPDATED

on August 6th.

He was charged with 2 counts of Internet Luring.

The Police seized all his computer equipment. I have no other details.

I am shocked, angry and confused. I feel betrayed.

I am disappoint.

UPDATE: I received some information today about my, um, friend.

1. He has been evicted from the apt complex.
2. It was a 16 year old girl he was communicating with in a chat room.
3. he was severely beaten in jail.
4. posters have been put up all over our apt complex

and here is the Police info:

On August 6th, 2010, the London Police Service Cyber Crime Unit arrested a London man after an Internet Luring investigation that began on July 23rd, 2010. Charged with 2 counts of Internet Luring is David Szabo, 40 years of Beckworth Avenue, London.

I have no details about what he did. Whether it was boys or girls or what the age range was.
 
Innocent until proven guilty. Don't bail on him until you hear the evidence. There's a lot of witch hunts out there....

this is why I am so confused.

I have known him since 1982.

Apparently, the property management wants him gone because of this.

This is a hilariously plausible alibi. I suggest you stick with it, deviating from your story will only seem incriminating.
 
If you know you're innocent, what's the panic?

Besides if your buddy is also innocent, when the evidence fall in place, he'll be either guilty or charges will be dropped.

No police officer came here to talk to me. Not even my friend's lawyer.

I have no information to offer anyone.
