Well the Micro Center next to me is a 10 minute drive, and its less than 2 miles away from Fry's Electronics. So yes I can stop by both and buy all my needs for a computer. Now if I only lived next to Newegg...

Thanks.....rub it in why dont you?!?

:p Yes, I will!

Had my spring LAN this weekend and the 16 & 17 year olds there, whose Dad's used to come to the LAN certainly didn't lay off... I need to give you crap because I'll be taking it before long. It's how these things work. They don't know what Voodoo is, they don't know what OpenGL is, they hardly remember installing games from media. Steam or go home. Craziness.

It makes me sad when I think about LANs 10 years from now :( Everyone take out your cell-phone... at least the manners where way better from the young folks this year. I swear they get immunized from their own dickishness by xbox live, etc and totally forget that people are sitting right next to them.

Not that I don't have my own jerk moments, but typically that is when I am dead, waiting to respawn while watching our last flag go down. It sounds like I am raging against others, maybe, but I am really just peeved at myself.

Anyway, probably going to MC this week :p

the mc in patterson nj has 30 million people less then 90 minutes away.

plus sales tax is 3.5 percent.

I would venture to say the mc serves 150 million people in under a 90 minute ride.

SO WHAT I AM SAYING IS HALF THE COUNTRY CAN GO TO THEM WITH JUST A LITTLE BIT OF PLANNING I DISAGREE WITH THE OP AND RIFTER A SMALL FRACTION OF PEOPLE IS NOT TRUE

IF you go with 2 people and buy 2 combos then sell one on ebay the gas is free.

So if half the country can do it that is good enough for me.

BTW I drove the 66 miles each way to get an intel 2500k and mobo at a 105 dollar discount. Made a day of it went with my wife we grabbed some great pastries at a mid-eastern bakery and ice cream from an second store.

Then we took a few dozen photos of the waterfalls in paterson.

Are you even aware this is an international forum? id wager most members arnt even in the US.

Ohh totally forgot about traffic....Boston rush hour

Sorry, but that made me laugh. I was at the Cambridge/Boston MC yesterday and drove back to the Cape through "rush hour", as I have a few times now, and I've noticed something.....Boston's rush hour is WIMPY! Try the Wash. DC metro area or Atlanta for rush hour traffic. Boston's is nuttin'....heck, only had to stop once for a few seconds, unheard of in ATL's or NOVA's traffic.

Try going the other way next time lol it will take you 45 min to get on 95 and then good luck on that 1 hour jam once on 95 north.

You can see a line of cars on 93 for about a mile on the right lane not moving from trying to take the exit.

I just take the T everyone now. I am so tired of crowded cities.

You have to realize that if you have to pay the sales tax, you have to save a significan amount over the actual Internet Price. On a side note the price of the 2500K keeps inching up. Isnt it about time for something faster or better in some way?

Sometimes, I would just rather not drive in traffic. Gas is like $4 a gallon or so. Even when I go to the grocery store it has to be some kind of Multi-use trip or it is just a waste of Gas Money.

I wish the Fed Govt would make all FRY's and Micro-Centers be duty free tax free shops.
