Thanks. I generally don't read his threads and was curious. It seems he's dealing with some difficult issues and I wish him the best.

This is something that anybody with a smidgen of gray matter should be able to test. Do any of you know what color my irises are? Do you know what I had for breakfast. Do you know I am actively refusing treatment, Do you know if I have ever had treatment I've refused. I won't ask about delusional because so many of you are suffering from it that answers would be worthless. So what we have here if you are truthful is an obvious lying prick who knows things that are impossible for him to know, but here he is, announcing them with wholly intoned certainty as if he really does because in his delusional state what he feels is the truth must in fact be real. He needs not the slightest shred of factual information to know what he can't possibly know. Judge, jury and executioner all wrapped up in one. But what do you expect from somebody who kills kittens for fun.

The decline of Rome was followed by the Dark Ages.

After the late-Middle ages you had an upswing in development again with the Renaissance, and the Age of Reason. This was followed by the Revolutions of 1848.

Following this you had the Industrial Era and I don't think there is quite enough hindsight to name anything more modern than that. So going along with the OP's logic of "exponential learning and development clashing with linear human acceptance and implementation of new ideas" I suspect what happens is the development side of things drops off a cliff (In a not-that-much-fun kind of way) as peoples ideas catch up with reality.

Einstein probably put too much thought into it since he helped open Pandora's box of nuclear power. I do think that is a game changer. The future into 2050 and such should be interesting how everything plays out. It seems like we develop in short spans and have cooling off eras. I don't see it going all the way back to sticks and stones we still seem to be making progress overall.

Psychobabble is a word that is used by people who get lost easily trying to follow a conversation that requires introspection and are too egotistical to admit they are shallow. It is commonly used by the brain defective. It's a way to offhandedly dismiss people with whom you feel out of your depth to protect your ego from that recognition. You make yourself so small when you do that, and why?.........because you feel so small already.

In therapy, which of course because of your egotistical pride you would never need, how then would you look down on others, you could root up the reasons you were made to feel that way, who it was that put you down and how you were humiliated, why you have the ego you do and why you had to encase yourself in its stone to survive. You could find a way to be reborn. But you would have to find a very good therapist to do it and there are few around with real understanding. Don't go to one who offers you pills and positive thinking, go to one who asks you how you feel. It is this you do not know and the key to everything.

Good luck, my friend. I wish you all of the bliss and the joy down that path that was given to me, or rather that I paid for with real dollar hard cash that's made me a very valuable human being. 😉
