I don't see why it wouldn't work. Basically, what you do in go into iTunes on each computer than you want to sync on your network and type in your username/password and then you can see each of them in the "Home Share" section. So unless WHS is doing something really funky, it would definitely work.

I was mainly concerned with WHS and it's 'Drive Extender' technology that lumps all the drives into one storage pool. Still, it should work. I'll give it a try this weekend. I've got new hardware I need to put into the server anyways so if I toast it, it's not really a big deal.

Ugh.. just actually tied my media center and my laptop together. And it's just a glorified shared drive. This is not what I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be a "Sync" so it would keep what I have on my laptop on my media center.. Boo...

Does that mean they're going to be grainer when viewed on Youtube?

That's exactly why it doesn't -- you're one of the people they're counting on to buy the nano when they probably otherwise wouldn't.

yeah you can...pretty good I guess, not as good as straight syncing though

I don't even have the patience to click the "HD" button because it always takes so long to load - in increments - and even manages to skip on my quad-core rig

Lame. I need a reliable way to have the music sync up between the shared folders on my WHS, my MBP, and my desktop. Still looking I guess...

I'd really like some kind of iHome Server...like a Time Capsule for music (and multimedia and files and what have you). The AppleTV is almost a good conceptual design for it - it syncs across the network (I believe from multiple machines?), which is cool.

I just don't get why itunes doesn't have folder monitor like every other media player ever created. Would make things much easier

Skype is now available for the iPhone/iPod Touch in Canada.
FW 3.1 seems to run a little snappier on my iPhone, maybe it's just me. 3.0 used to lag terribly.

That's just the online number correct? Well I guess it's not really that big a deal. Skype users can still call you and I really only want it to make outgoing calls. Does the US version support it though?

Yeah, you can get a US Skype-In number, but then for people to call you they have to call a US number. Not a big deal if they also have skype, but if they don't, then they're calling long distance.

Of course if you're not in the same city as most of your family/friends, then it doesn't matter at all.

I was really hoping for a camera + mic. Without the camera I'm gonna have to choose the Zune HD.
