You obviously are very young and do not have a taste for brew. If you think SR is good then you have a problem. The problem doesn't lie with the alc %. It lies in how the brew is processed. Im a home brewer so i do pay attention to the beers that I taste.

I know it's not the best, but it's certainly not the worst and being a relatively poor college student with an obscene alcohol tolerance I have to budget myself according.
Sure, I'd rather drink a nice pale ale or stout, but I'd also like to have money to eat.
I'm just saying that it's not hard to drink.

in a drunken stupor a friend begged me to bet him that he couldn't drink 4 40's of steel reserve in a span of 6 hours. he hasnt done it yet, but that money is in the bank.

I have on many occasions drank a similar amount in less time with various types of alcohol.

Let's just say that I'm glad that our state passed a law permitting beers with an alcohol content greater than 6%.

No, I meant 20 regular beers. A 40 ouncer of 8% beer is about 5 5% beers.Originally posted by: BigJ

That would be equivalent to over 32 beers at 0.05% (Budweiser) or over 38.5 beers at 0.042% (Bud Light, Corrs Light, etc).

I agree... I tried one of these and it tasted absolutely terrible. It also gave me a headache. No thanks, I will stick to Heinekens, Coors Light and Keystone Light. :beer:Originally posted by: SuRgEoN

32 beers is a slightly different story![]()
I don't know, but it's a lot higher. All I know is that we can have the Samuel Adams with the really high alcohol content.Originally posted by: Mookow

Heh, my latest homebrew should end up somewhere around 9% ABV. And it'll actually taste good, and I'll have spent less money on it.![]()
EDIT: what exactly is the NC state limit on beer alcohol %?
Waking up naked and not being able to find your pants is a bewildering experience. :beer:Originally posted by: BigJ

All I'm going to say is that I've woken up a few times completely naked after drinking more than 30 beers in a night.
