Three missle silos of that definitely will lay a whooping to you if you aren't careful.
I used to be able to buy tall boys of it at the gas station for $1.25.

It's tough to find an easier way to get f'd up for under $4.00 if that's the primary objective.

We have some good 11-13% beers up here in NY. They are more like barley wines at that point.

Century Club: A shot of beer every minute..for a hundred minutes. Not as easy as it sounds.

I did homebrewing for a while. Beer tasted great but after you drank a few it was like getting hit in the face with a sledgehammer.

Care to elaborate on that a bit? Were you just making overly high alcohol beers or what?

SR isnt a bad brew for the price. Sometimes they have a deal where you can get 3 for under $5. I buy that every time I see it.

That crap gave me some major headaches in college. If you are going to drink, why not have something that you can enjoy.

SR is the worst. You end up with the shits and smell like a bum. Your liver is not so happy with you trying remove all that sewage from your system.

It just seemed to hit me hard for some reason. I tested one batch and it came out to only like 4% or something. It wasn't just me either, people seemed to get drunk far to easy off the stuff.

I liked brewing it more than I liked drinking it.

I had some Steel Reserve 211 last night.

Also 8.1%.

And at a dollar for 24oz, how can you go wrong?

Kinda nasty though. But tollerable.

Whats the point of drinking something you're not going to enjoy. I thought people grew out of that after freshman year of college

Drinking pure Everclear is doable. It takes a minor amount of technique, but it is definitely possible.

In shots, not from a cup like beer though. Both drinks have thier place. Personally, I drink beer for enjoyment, and Everclear when I want to get absolutely smashed, which isnt all that often these days.

That was my point. Why say "ZOMG Pansies!!! Everclear has 10 times the ALC/Volume!!!!11!", when you drink 5-10 times less of it than you would of beer?

Different liquors and beers have their place for enjoyment and drunkeness. Sometimes in combination, sometimes alone.

It seemed from your first post that you were doubting that shots of it could be done, which simply isnt true.

and actually tastes good!

On the way down south to my uncle's wedding, I am going to pick up a case of that. My state wont allow it to be sold, apparently in the belief that 18yr old high school seniors will use their fake IDs to buy a beer with over 100 IBUs, and then die from alcohol poisoning because they couldnt tell the difference between this and Bud.

Oddly enough, I don't think that's true. They have a distributor here;
OHIO
Cavalier Distributing
11316 Tamarco Drive
Blue Ash, OH 45242
513-247-9222 phone
513-247-9212 fax

I've never seen the 120, only the 60 & 90 though. Oh by the way, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, best stout ever.

As a bartender and a beer geek, trust me, the Ohio limit is way lower than the 21% it would have to be to allow DFH 120Min to be sold in state. I knew that they have a distributor in state because I've seen in Ohio (and consumed) the following DFH beers:
-60 and 90 Minute IPA (as you noted)
-Raison D'Etre
-Chicory Stout
-Immort Ale
-Shelter Pale Ale (IIRC)
-Indian Brown Ale (again, IIRC it was in Ohio)

The limit is 12%, IIRC. I've never seen a higher alcohol beer being legally sold in Ohio.

And the best stout ever is the Stone Imperial Russian Stout (after it's been aged at least 6 months) ;) .

EDIT: No 10.8% ABV beer should be as smooth as the Ston IRStout is.
