6 cyl A4 Quatro vs. G35 AWD sedan

Now that the winter is coming I'm considering trading in my C class for one of the above. Any experiences with either? Any other cars I should consider in the same price range?

I'd go G35 anyday than A4 and its small ass civic-sized interior.

Shut up. You have no clue what you are talking about.

I love the feel of Audi, I like the looks, I like the way it handles, I like the exterior and interior, etc. However, they have total shit-ass reliability. I've had mine at the dealer at least 12 times in the past year. That is simply pathetic. Oh, the dealer is great, they fix my problems, rent me cars, give me Porsches, shuttle rides, free gas, etc, but it doesn't make up for the goddamn problem to begin with.

Either way, I say BMW. 🙂

A4!!!! *edit* the only thing wrong with my A4 right now at 35k is trip computer red pixels are missing 🙁

I only like the G35 coupes heh

*edit* now go to both dealers and test drive em 😛 and decide for yourself lol

my next car will be an m3, boxster again, or 911.. 😉

Are they? Pretty sure I still see more A4's. On the bright side, I've seen all of 2 Legacy GT's. I'm quite suprised the number so low.

I was gonna post basically the same thing. Audi's are cool cars, but at some point you have to face the fact that they're dressed up Volkswagens. They share Volkswagen engineering and build quality.

Unfortunately, a BMW 330i is out of your price range, and the 325i is kinda... meh. How about a Volvo S40 T5 ? They're available w/ AWD, 240hp inline 5 cylinder, 0-60 in about 6 seconds. Also pretty reliable compared to an Audi, more comparable to a BMW. And a nice S40 should be available in your price range.

I considered 330 xi. While the car itself is in my price range, I always buy cars loaded (leather, nav system, sports package etc) and that puts BMW over the limit. Last I check it'd come out to around 42,000.

That's what I was going to say, a loaded 330, even without AWD would be over $40k.

Check out the new redesigned S40 though, it's hot looking. Awsome interior too. A Volvo through and through.

The majority A4s I see are the 1996-2001 model... I'm pretty sure I see more G35 coupe/sedans out there... not as much as BMW 3s though... now those cars are played out. lol.

I have seen ONE outside of a dealership. I have seen two new Outbacks outside of a dealership.

While I was down in Jacksonville, FL during Thanksgiving, I took another GT Limited 5-speed out for a REAL test drive. The saleman actually knew his sh!t and let me really play with the car.

Anyway, I am all but sold. Still need to decide on a Limited vs. un-Limited tho.

A4 is just a pimped up VW.

Get the G35.

Edit-Actually, if you don't need a decent sized back seat I'd recommend the WRX-STi.

Given Audi's/VW's recent downfall in reliability, and Infiniti's/Nissan's sterling reputation, I'd go for the G35 🙂
