Gone at newegg.

I am really getting tired of seeing things in-stock and once I check my cart the item is gone.

Have you tried the HF/XFX deal? Shipping is fast and reasonable, and $300 for one of these cards right now....is reasonable. As long as you don't live in Ca...there should not be any tax.

The offer has been going on since ~ 4pm yesterday. I learned of the deal about 1am. Didn't send a PM until ~6:30am. Got the call here (EST) at 11:45am (about opening time in Ca) and it's done.

They only offered 50 cards....all things considered...they are not going as fast as I would have thought. This is still business hours for them. Several people reported being called ~10min after sending the PM. Give it a whirl....

how do you PM someone on that forum? I just signed up. Do I have to wait for my account to be approved?

You may/probably need to do the verification email--they send you an email and you click the link to verify your registration. That may be preventing you from PMing atm.

Otherwise, click the link in my last post, then contact info, then send PM. Give them your name, address and telephone number. Then wait. They should call in short order....

The offer is no longer on the HF front page, so I'm assuming atm that it's over. I'll look further and report back.....

Yeah, it's apparently NOT over: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1468560

Naja - read more carefully - that link is from 2007's 8800GT deal. ;)

You are correct! Apologies! I just went to XFX Support>statistics>threads started by.....and didn't read--just scanned.

Here's the correct link--not originally post by XFXSupport!

Looking for an XFX Radeon HD 5850? We Got'em!

Looks like the deal is still going!!!

MrMatt, if you want to PM me your info: name, address and phone number....I will PM it to them....

Previous link corrected to avoid confusion for others.

Didn't even check anandtech just said what the heck and tried newegg and then posting here to let people know. Damn expensive but should be a great jump from my 4850 as a stop gap for the past 6 months. Bank account charged! YES! This was a good purchase and reason to cut back on drinking beer ;)

I bought an X800 XT PE back when it was a top of the line card 5 years ago and have been running it ever since. Things should be a tad faster now.
