I think that's true in my case, and I don't want to give that up. Part of that is also that as people move up in salary range, some work smarter and not harder and as a result, have more free time.
Correct. A lot of times I sell solutions. Someone comes to me with a specific problem, I think about it and get them a solution that solves their problem. Now the hard work is done and if anyone else comes to me with a similar problem I just sell them the solution I already came up with. Since I specialize in medical stuff, a lot of the problems people have are very similar and they are willing to pay well for it if it simplifies their life/practice.
