These calc's are useless. I'm 5-6 180 with a large frame (unusually large shoulders), I powerlift and do martial arts. This calc says 164 should be my max weight but ask any lady on the street and she will say I'm dam sexy (think broad shouldered muscular Jet Li).

Any lady on the street corner is going to say your sexy. She just wants your money.

Bwahhahahaha

Thats funny dude....

I highly doubt you have a 6-pack at 5'6" and 215 lbs.

"I am starting to see my 6 pack again"

I have always had it, smartass, it's just been under an inch or two of fat 😉 I haven't seen it well-defined since I was about 180-190lbs sophmore year of high school.

I think anything > 17% body fat starts to look too big. Some guys seem to concentrate it all in their midsection as well. Men that lift often go through bulking periods where 17-20% body fat might be breached though.

I'm 6'1" at 200lbs now, but here is a pic of me a few months back. Horrible pose, but that was about 5lbs of muscle ago.

In short: Solid muscle mass and a flat stomach ftw.

Any recent pics? Nice arms btw!

I'm 6' and 220, A nice cushiony amount of chub.

Luckily my wife still has young children and is in the "must secure provider for children" mindset, so I'm not worried.

Will need to shape up before they reach adolescence, but I've still got a few years.

/sarcasm

I'm about 6'1 and 170... but I'm a runner... I'm supposed to be that size 😛 In fact, the first marathon I ran I think I was around 155-160 :Q

edit: wtf... that online calculator said I'm almost overweight... "Based on your height, your ideal weight range is between 157 and 170 pounds."

Yeah, but that's the only shirted picture I have. Still weird about posting shirtless pics online for whatever reason.

Yea, well several years ago when I was a runner my weight dropped down to 95lbs... so yea, that happens when your a marathoner. You tend to run on the underweight side.

holy crap, how tall are you?

I'm 6'0" and at the start of the year, I was pushing 200 (around 196, 197) with what my wife calls a large frame (I have broad shoulders). I felt a little tubby and my size 34" pants were tight and 36" were getting snug. In addition, I was starting to get a beer belly and the love handles were full sized handles. I just felt fat basically.

Starting agressively riding my road bike again, have put over 1500 miles on this year and dropped myself down to 183 lbs and now my size 34" pants feel very loose. I'd like to drop about 5 to 7 more lbs and hit 175, which I think is a good balance for my build. Not ultra big, not ultra skinny.

Yes, you are a cutie! Thanks for the pics... you rock!

Those weight calculators are absolutely useless. There are way too many things that go into it. One person could be a certain heaight and weight and look great and another look bad with the same measurements. People just have different sized frames and bigger or smaller bones. You just have to LOOK at a person to tell if they are overweight. You can't tell by the numbers.

Well I agree with that, there are better weight and bmi calculators. They need to factor in age too.

I know it's cliche but build type has to factor in somewhere. Going by those calculators my dad is grossly overweight yet, he looks great and was told by his Dr that, healthwise, he's got the body of a man 20 years younger.
