They don't get new releases until 2-3 months after they've been released in stores. I was honestly surprised Goldmember was available for purchase.

I ordered with the blue site (Apoc. Now Redux, Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, Pulp Fiction: LE, and Goldmember) and had my confirmation email in under an hour.

For those of you ordering via the red site, they have Apoc. Now listed, but I think it's the original version. They stock both and I had to specificly select Redux to get it.

How are some people ordering DVD's that I don't even see listed? How do you get to either the blue site or the red site?

Gave it a shot:

Qty. Title
1 Office Space
1 Vanilla Sky
1 12 Monkeys
1 Airplane!
1 Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

Just use the search on the left or categories and pick new releases ...they have most DVDs.

Hit back then click the 5 dvd deal again. Eventually you will get to blue site. The blue site has all the crow movies and most of the Kevin Smith series (clerks, etc.) if you need ideas.

Oh a tip for people new to owning DVDs. Get some war movies. War movies and scifi/horror are the best on dolby digital. On the horror/scifi it just makes the sound better , and war movies make the best use of digital surround with all the battlefields. 2 of the best surround movies I own are Gladiator and Thin Red Line (my all time favorite war movie... even over platoon).

Actually...to get the blue site immediately just got to columbiahouse.com. Pick the category to the far right..."Join the video club". It will then take you to the video club home page. In the upper right hand corner click on "DVD Club". You'l be there!!!! Blue sreen and code box right at top!!! Or if you are really lazy....follow this link!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For some reason that link already has order 5 for $24.95...if it does make sure you enter the code again to make sure. It could have something to do with auto login on my PC!!!

This is the only email you'll get. I've been a member in the past, I get this email and then nothing else until the dvds arrive.

Haven't been charged yet but my membership was approved. Logged in online and checked the purchase requirements of the membership, and sure enough, all purchase requirements had already been met.

Won't have to fight with Columbia House after all!

Does anyone know it this works for on the phone orders? Or is it an online only deal? How much info do you need to provide in order to be a member?
