No, not that we don't like movies, it's all about the $$$$. $25/50 for movies, = $25/50 less to spend between V-day and our anniversary.

I did just what you said....I joined twice using the same address, cc#, email address. I have received both of my "Welcome" emails and they both have different account numbers. When you log into the website you have to supply your account number to setup your online access. I assume this is where the two accounts will be seperated as you will also have to give different username and password to access per each account number. I have had no problems yet. I am going to try for another 2 memberships at another address, using a second cc #, and a different address!!!

chrisjor,
Thanks for the info... I will try to submit again & see what happens.
Let us know if you're successful doing another 2 setup. Just curious, do you have your other cc registed w/ a diff addy (assuming they verify addy of cc to match what you list).

Didn't work for you? Did you get the site with the Red borders?

A comment in another thread mentioned that the Red site does not work. I just confirmed that as well. The site with the Red borders says the code is no good.

Keep reloading until you get the site with the Blue borders (this is when you click on the DVD club on the home page). You may have to clear your cookies.

The code is accepted by that site.

Good Luck!

I just checked and the code still works.

The best thing to do to bypass the evil RED site is to click "Join Video club" from the columbiahouse.com starting page. Do not "click Join DVD club". Thats right, dont ask me why, but once you're in the video section, enter the cycd code into the upper right savings code box and it will re-direct you to the DVD section.

Well my first account worked fine, I haven't tried to get the second account yet (I figure give it some time first). Seems like a lot of ppl got a second acct using same name, addy, email, so... I will try that later.

woohooo, finally got my confirmation too.... they were sent, will be arriving about the same time I get my new receiver, tv, and dvd player :D

024954 DVD Romeo Must Die
027034 DVD A Beautiful Mind Awards Edition
027550 DVD Scooby-Doo
024252 DVD Pink Floyd: The Wall
021455 DVD The Fifth Element

next time, I'm not going to order at 3am.... maybe I'll make better choices. Then again, got the action, drama, comedy, musical, and whatever genre 5th element falls under. (I can't even remember what it's about, have never watched it, so I'll be surprised)

Awwww.. bad move on the army of darkness. I was just about to grab that when I noticed on bestbuy it's only 20 to preorder the boomstick edition and you get a $10 online coupon with it.

WTF! now you tell me! ;) There are like eitght Gazillion versions of these damn Evil Dead DVD's its so confusing. Oh well, I'm not too worried about it, since I never seen it. As long as it's widescreen and is a good transfer I'll be happy, and it's only $5 too :)

I doesn't work for me anymore. I even tried installing Opera to try and it doesn't work.

I go to the homepage, I click on the video webpage, I enter the code, and it redirects me to the dvds and tells me about the promotion in the popup, but the shopping cart on the right side is blank. No openings to fill with DVDs. When I try to add, it gives me an error.

Anyone else having this problem?

Made me nervous. I bought my DVDs, and took an order for my wife, but hadn't entered it yet. That would've been bad...

Thanks!

I'm having a similar or the same problem. Using IE6 ... is that bad? cycd brings up the promo, you hit details and it tells you all about it but when you try to add DVDs to the cart it errors:

Yeah that's the same crap I'm getting that damn 404 error. I hope that's not their way of taking the offer down without really taking off.

I was able to make my 5 selection, the second time around, but when it tried to sign up for membership, I get the same 404 Error screen offering different plans :(
