Simple question. Why doesn't Obama provide a copy of his original birth certificate? Not a certificate of live birth but the actual birth certificate. Its like the cops stopping you and asking for ID. What would the average person do? You'd give it to them! Takes 1 minute then you're free to do what you were doing before.

Ok OK, lets say for the sake of argument, that someone wants to Prove Obama was not born in the USA.

One way might be to grab up and torture Obama's parent until they confessed their deception. But no, that will not work because they are both dead. Or we could ask Barack Obama himself, but that is a logic fail, because no new born baby remembers where they were born, they take their parents word for it later. Or alternately the birthers could produce the hospital records that proved no such baby was born was born in the hospital on that day, but those records are long gone.

So we look at the Birth Certificate which States Obama was born in Honolulu and that
is also State certified. But what it boils down is that Birthers will not accept any document that does not prove their case.

Or alternately the birthers can go to court, but been there done that, and SCOTUS said, as the final word, birthers have no court case.

In short, birthers have no a single leg to stand on, so they go to the court of public opinion, and keep stating something they cannot prove as a fact.

Even if it were true, piasabird, its a totally irrelevant argument, the USA grants citizenship to those born inside this country, and there is no check box asking the parents if they are commies or not.

Socialism != supplying basic infrastructure and support. Socialism is redistribution of wealth, ie presuming that the government knows how to spend the peoples' money better than they do. Socialism is welfare and years-long unemployment benefits (doesn't that sound like an oxymoron?).

If we do have system to verify candidates qualifications why would it be a secret? If it isn't a secret you should be able to prove it.

I'm saying I've spent too much time already trying to confirm we have a system, I find zip other than a FEC form.

And no, none of those agencies you mention have any responsibility for vetting US candidates. Go to their websites and look at their mission/responsibilities. And I'm saying the way it stands now, if any of them dared try it they'd be breaking the law and violating the candidates' civil rights. Theri is no law on the books giving them that authority. Unless you're Obama himself, you can't get those documents without a court order, and no court has yet issued such an order/subpoena.

This is not about Obama, he's just brought this to the fore. This is about our lack of a system. It's up to you to prove your claim. Feeble reasoning doesn't cut it either.

There's no requirement that a candidate qualify for a TS clearence to be able to run. But if you find that there is, please link it up.

If not, you are postulating a scenario whereby we could elect a President etc, who afterwards was discovered not to qualify for a TS clearence and therefor couldn't do his job? WTH? That's absurd.
