4 Days a week lifting - How should I break it up?

I am trying to get back into going to the gym (been trying to work on cardio, but haven't been lifting much for a few months) and I have 4 days a week to workout. I figure I'll do two days of lower body and two of upper.

My question is, how should I break up my lifting? Should I do a full half-body workout twice a week (so full upper 2 days and full lower 2 days) or should I split up each half-body?

If I should split it up, how would you suggest?

Thanks.

Bench Press

Deadlift

Build your routine around those movements.

I'd also recommend checking out the Starting Strength Wiki and considering doing three days of lifting per week initially.
