The world doesn't vote in our president. When France or Russia asks the US for its opinion on its next president, maybe I'll rethink that position. Till then...

I wonder if we will hear an apology or if the Media will gloss over it.

Great! So Bush is off the Hook! Whew!!! I sure as Fvck feel a lot safer don't you?

Vote for Bush as half of these WMD's are probably in a container somewhere heading for your home port... WHY?????? Because BUSH Fcked up AGAIN....
Shhh...be careful. These weren't WMD's. Those didn't exist in Iraq, remember?

I call them WMD since they can be used to make WMD. But the UN for some reason thought they were safe. But since they arn't there... I guess there is no proof. Where is that smoking gun?
No no. WMDs are what Bush was looking for...these were strictly run-of-the-mill explosives (but still dangerous).

Dangerous enough to be taken seriously but not dangerous enough to validate WMD claims.

Ah...another ignorant fool who refuses to see the truth.'

Go back and search see how many times this tact has been shredded into tiny pieces.

Come back when you have a clue.

Why not shred it to pieces yourself. They are things people said. Unless you interept I believe there are wmd's in iraq and saddam should be removed from power differently.

Kerry said that he would expand the military by up to 40,000 with better pay and benefits to attract new recruits. Do you have something specific that states that he's going to send them to Iraq?

A war that should not have occured....from the arrogance of the congress

Fixed. He said he would send 40,000 new troops abroad. Which probably would include iraq. If not it still costs money. Something you were just squirming about. Plus benefits cost more money too. So I'd advise more squirming. link

A misinterpretation of Kerry's words.

Try this:

That is why I have called for adding 40,000 new troops, not in Iraq, but to relieve the pressure on our overstretched forces.

From here
Launch And Lead A New Era Of Alliances
The threat of terrorism demands alliances on a global scale - to utilize every available resource to get the terrorists before they can strike at us. As president, John Kerry will lead a coalition of the able - because no force on earth is more able than the United States and its allies.

Modernize The World's Most Powerful Military To Meet New Threats
John Kerry and John Edwards have a plan to transform the world's most powerful military to better address the modern threats of terrorism and proliferation, while ensuring that we have enough properly trained and equipped troops to meet our enduring strategic and regional missions.

Deploy All That Is In America's Arsenal
The war on terror cannot be won by military might alone. As president, John Kerry will deploy all the forces in America's arsenal - our diplomacy, our intelligence system, our economic power, and the appeal of our values and ideas - to make America more secure and prevent a new generation of terrorists from emerging.

Free America From Its Dangerous Dependence On Mideast Oil
To secure our full independence and freedom, we must free America from its dangerous dependence on Mideast oil. By tapping American ingenuity, we can achieve that goal while growing our economy and protecting our environment.

Even so this costs money. Rolling back the tax cuts on the rich won't help. The rich account for less than 20%. While doing this he proposes cutting small business taxes. So how is he going to pay for this? It doesn't say on his website.

Go find other threads on that topic or do some research. This thread is about the 380 tons of high-density explosives the Bush administration failed to protect.

Yes it is, you never told me how it was rebuted. Go search eh, for what? Quotes? Kerry? Kerry's website has all the answers?

Depsite 90% of the Kerry supporters here, I want to hear both sides and get the facts, instead of finding any reason to bash Bush. Your anger towards Bush even shows how emotional you are on this subject. When have I once cut down Kerry directly? While every Kerry supporter in this thread its incompetent that, stupd this, when we don't even have all the facts on this situation. Your great on the yagt.org boards. Very rational about situations. To me your just trying to justify a relationship(vote) with someone by finding every flaw in the other person and bloating it. While forgetting the other person has flaws too.

Your Propaganda in your signature isnt even rational. There have been less than 5,000 terror related deaths against U.S. citizens since 2001 I believe was the last statistic. Your more likely to be murdered on your own street than be killed by terrorism. Your feeding into the fear the media feeds you.

Edit: Interesting how you changed yer signature all the sudden.

And sending 40,000 troops abroad isnt going to help this fact. Actually this thread by the OP is about the 380 tons already be gone, theres articles coming out every hour saying different information. A fair way of saying whats happened is....new was released that 380 tons of explosives were lost recently, this was then changed to 2003. The Bush administration was even confused by this release , but now there are releases coming from many different sources saying they were already gone/or the Bush administration lost them. We will see in the coming days.

Ahh do some research, go search. If the answers were so simple it would be easy to just say. But go search, go do your research...that just means..."I dont know".

You posted several quotes that spanned several years. Go look up those quotes and you'll see how ignorant it was of you to even think of posting that crap and trying to use it to justify your invalid opinion.

You people are so faqed up. I have been reading the posts on a number of subjects here and to be perfectly honest I am ashamed for both sides.
You all look sound like children!! NOT ONE OF YOU KNOWS THE TRUTH!!!!!! You are all just taking bits of news blurbs, sound bites, and parroting then here trying to sound like you are in the know, or have a higher level of intelligence and are able to figure this stuff out better then the next guy. I wish you would put a little of the vitriol you have for each other and your political opposition, and put it toward the news originations and force them to report only the news. Not some half baked story that looks good on paper and will get ratings. Will we ever know the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth about this? No.
This BS reporting works against both sides. If FOX runs a story that turns out to be false or misleading, only later have to retract some or all of it, the damage is already done. Most people will take the story and run. Never to look back. The problem is most of you don?t want to know the truth. You are happy living in your little worlds hating the other guy for anything you can get your hands on. Your hatred runs so deep that the light of the truth will never reach it. You can?t allow it to; else your world is no longer so clear cut and organized. If you can look at someone and see some good you can no longer hate him, if you no longer hate him it is easier to see the good he has done or may do. And in this climate that is a no-no. I think they both Suck!! With a CAPITOL S!! I have not and will not talk politics with people because I am no longer sure the story I have is the right one. How can you people be so stupid as to jump on something like this and use it against anyone? Do you really believe the news caster you overheard at the Starbucks counter while ordering a latte? This is on both sides not just one. I am done rambling now. I think I am going to the gym for a while.

Ahh I'm the one being ignorant, the one ASKING you for a link. Ignorant is an easy word to toss around. If these quotes are infact something they did not say at all, and you have proof, I will remove them. I don't want false information being passed around. This situation is obviously more complex than you first made it seem and won't link me to this but will link me to kerry's website and throw many other links in this thread. Or you could just explain to me why these quotes are invalid. If its so simple. Until then, you are offering me nothing but hot air.

Iraq says 'impossible' explosives taken before regime fall
http://story.news.yahoo.com/ne...afp/iraq_us_explosives
BAGHDAD (AFP) - A top Iraqi science official said it was impossible that 350 tonnes of high explosives could have been smuggled out of a military site south of Baghdad before the regime fell last year.

The UN nuclear watchdog this week said about 350 tonnes of high explosives went missing from a weapons dump some time after Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s regime was toppled in April 2003 after the US-led invasion .

But as the issue of the missing explosives took centre stage in the final days of the US presidential campaign, some US officials have suggested they had gone before the US-led forces moved on Baghdad.

"It is impossible that these materials could have been taken from this site before the regime's fall," said Mohammed al-Sharaa, who heads the science ministry's site monitoring department and previously worked with UN weapons inspectors under Saddam.

"The officials that were inside this facility (Al-Qaqaa) beforehand confirm that not even a shred of paper left it before the fall and I spoke to them about it and they even issued certified statements to this effect which the US-led coalition was aware of."

Sharaa also warned that other nearby sites with similar materials could have also been plundered.

"The Al-Milad Company in Iskandariyah and the Yarmouk and Hateen facilities contained explosive materials that could have also been taken out," the official told AFP in an interview.

The Al-Qaqaa facility is near the town of Latifiyah, 30 kilometers (18 miles) south of Baghdad and the bulk of materials in question include HMX (high melting point explosive) and RDX (rapid detonation explosive), which experts say can be used in major bombing attacks, making missile warheads and detonating nuclear weapons.

The area in Babil province, which includes the towns of Iskandariyah and Mahmudiyah, used to be the centre of Saddam's military-industrial complex.

It is now one of the most dangerous parts of the country rife with crime, kidnappings and attacks. Several headless bodies hav been found in the area, according to marines stationed there.

"It may be already too late to salvage many of these sites, which are controlled by bandits and beyond the control of Iraqi forces," warned Sharaa.
We went in there with no plan, not enough resources or troops and this is what happens.
And how does Rumsfeld still have a job????

Well considering the defecit this year was below the forcasted estimates early this year 422b, and the forcasted defecit next year is even lower, hes paying it off!

The figures were similar to the budget office's last report as the added costs for the newly passed Medicare expansion were offset by higher revenue generated by the improving economy. In August, lawmakers' nonpartisan fiscal analyst envisioned shortfalls of $480 billion for this year and $341 billion for 2005.
