The forum has lost a lot of members over the years. Mainly from the people here. It won't happen to me though. The people won't bash me out.

Forums in general don't get the attention they used to; the slowing down here isn't just AT-specific imo. I think Facebook, the chans, and Reddit have collectively taken away a lot of traffic.

I think the best times were really 199x-2000ish. People trolled but it wasn't as mean-spirited as it is today.

Eh, to an extent but it still depends. I started my internet adventures on gaming forums, and a lot of those guys (now gone) were crazy and perverted 4chan-prototypes, but there are also some decent people that stopped caring about the anonymity-factor forums provide, and talk with their old internet buds through Facebook like an ordinary friend.

What? When was it not possible to be anonymous on a forum? Were there "forums" set up through sneakernets, where everyone knew each other's real identity, before BBS?

Sending things electronically automatically allows anonymity, therefore forums (as I know them) have always been able to be anonymous.

How do we know that some here aren't test scripts for an AI?
